Maybe it is time for the freshman quarterback.
Luckily, he's out of eligibility after this season.Sims is not the QB of the future for this team.
oofoof asu in big trouble - u of a route
Dillingham has a lot of work to do this offseason to keep ASU from sliding backwards, and I'm not sure he's up to it. He is likely going to keep his incompetent friends on the coaching staff and I really have to question his ability to evaluate recruiting talent after watching this bleep show of an offense all season.
I hate to pile on one guy because special teams and the general coaching certainly deserves a share of blame, but that might be the single worst individual performance I've ever seen by an ASU QB.Jeff Sims - Territorial Cup MVP
Well, it really wasn't that close as the Final score. I have seen a lot of bad ASU performances against au. And I can't say that was the worst. Technically, we were in it until late in the 4th quarter but it never REALLY felt like we would win.
I have no idea how this off-season goes for ASU. Personally I am far from certain Leavitt returns. He is going to get offers. If he doesn't, next year could be rough.
Well, we need WRs as well IMO. Dillingham has his hands full this off-season. Let's see what he does.Dyer and Fette are good recruits but I don't know if Dyer is going to be a QB going forward. I thought he was going to transition to WR? But, I don't know. But, I have to imagine Kenny would hit the portal hard to get a QB if Leavitt does leave. And, given Kenny's reputation with QBs, I would hope some good guys would be looking to come here.
I love Dilly, and obviously Sims was good for a couple of games, but there was six years of data to support him being a crappy QB which makes me question his decision making. I dont know your 3rd option, but I cant imagine that he’s worse.I hate to pile on one guy because special teams and the general coaching certainly deserves a share of blame, but that might be the single worst individual performance I've ever seen by an ASU QB.
Well, Dillingham is stubborn AF, so I pretty much knew that no matter how bad Sims played, the whole team was going down with the ship.I love Dilly, and obviously Sims was good for a couple of games, but there was six years of data to support him being a crappy QB which makes me question his decision making.
