This is probably as close to a pick-em game as we've had in a while. Identical records, and both teams have question marks that indicate they may not be as good as their records indicate.

If ASU has a chance to win, they will have to be dirt workers, but that's how they have had to play since losing their starting quarterback.
Is it me or did it feel like they were dirty workers even when Leavitt was healthy? This team has had a very interesting personality this year

The way UofA has played this season, ASU cannot FA or they will absolutely FO

It really is a tossup. Arizona has been winning, but their schedule has also been pretty easy. And most of their games have gone about like ASU's, where they've looked pretty meh throughout most of it, and then done just enough to get over the top near the end. The win against Baylor yesterday was a mirror image of ASU against Colorado.

ASU has not been winning on talent, but outworking and outlasting opponents. It's a good trait, however, there are limitations.

In a lot of ways, this team has overachieved.

And that’s my point about their personality this year. An argument could easily be made they have underachieved this year as well. Just an odd team

If anything, I think ASU has overachieved this season after losing their starting quarterback starting with the Iowa State game.

They could have easily rolled over, but didn't.

I'm not feeling good about this game.

It's the Territorial Cup. Neither side should feel good and if they say they are, they're lying. Doesnt matter if the teams are 10-1 and 1-10. Anything can happen. It's just more intriguing that both teams are 8-3 and neck-and-neck in the conference.

For the Sun Devils, it's been the way they are gutting out wins. Although they beat Colorado by a sizeable margin, they had to win the game in the second half.

That explosive offense has not been there, made worse by losing Sam Leavitt for the season. They have struggled to put points on the scoreboard.

If ASU wants to win the game, it needs to run Raleek Brown and Jeff Sims into the ground. Arizona's passing defense is awesome, so Sims, who's a terrible thrower, isnt going to shred the secondary, but if you watch the BYU and Houston games, they won because they stayed consistent with power runs.

This is what ASU did against Colorado, run the ball. However, it wasn't effective until the second half.

I'm not sure if ASU wore down their defensive line or changed schemes but suddenly the run was there.

Jeff Sims and Raleek Brown are not power runners but have deceptive speed and quickness.

I don't disagree. But ASU's OC is a moron and seemingly game plans randomly, so I wouldn't at all be surprised if ASU tries to throw on every other down in the first quarter and gets behind because of it, and then ends up having to stage a late comeback to win by finally running the ball.

That's been just about the pattern for ASU throughout the year, with bizarre offensive game plans that put the burden on the defense while the offense stumbles around for the first half of the game.

Disagree. What Marcus Arroyo has done for Jeff Sims is nothing short of a miracle. Jeff Sims sucks. There's no two ways about it. I've watched him since Nebraska fumble balls like they're covered in bacon grease. But to make him look servicible deserves praise. I frankly thought ASU would lose out because of Sims, but that hasnt been the case.

If you have Sims force balls to Tyson, he's going to throw picks.

Exactly, that's how rivalries work. Usually, you feel more comfortable as the underdog who can spoilt the other team's season a bit, or a lot, but this season their pretty even, at least on paper.
