Algeria A' endured a frustrating first half in their Arab Cup opener. Dominant in possession and camped in the Sudanese half, Madjid Bougherra’s men created several dangerous opportunities—especially through Boulbina and Berkane—but failed to find the breakthrough. Sudan, well organized at the back, looked to hit on the counterattack.

But the standout moment of these opening 45 minutes was the totally avoidable sending-off of Adam Ounas, who lost his cool and left his teammates a man down. A costly error that seriously complicates matters for the Greens for the rest of the match.

Despite being reduced to ten men, the score remains locked at 0-0, largely thanks to a Sudanese goalkeeper who delivered a truly outstanding first half. Algeria will need to be more clinical and disciplined to avoid a major setback.
