Team: I predict it being one of those "would have, could have" close games, where we lose barely by some unexpected play or situation. One we feel we should have or could have won if only .......

Player: With Rams D having us pinned down on our own 1 yard line, Rondale catches a short pass from Murray, breaks a tackle, and scampers the length of the field for a 99 yard TD, tying another rookie, Chiefs Marc Boerighter's, record setting 99 yard TD.

Rams D records a safety after 2 false start penalties put us back inside the 5 at some point during the game

A safety might be a best case scenario in that situation:). My fear would be a pick 6 or fumble returned for a TD.

Important game for the KK/SK regime. If the Cardinals are ever going to get to the next level, it has to start with at least a competitive game against the Rams. We’ve proven we can beat the Seahags & Niners, but we at least have to give the Rams a game. SK knew we had to get more physical players to stop the Ram bullying, and on paper, we have done that. Now they have to do it on the field. A loss won’t necessarily demoralize me, unless they *itch slap us all over the field. Then it’ll be a big setback.

I can agree with what Shane is saying.

However, the rest of this forum as of late reminds me of my old lady: nothing but doom and gloom, excessive worry, generalized pessimism. And then she wonders why I routinely leave to go fishing…

Thank god you guys are fans and not on the field.

The boys are going to show up for this game…. Go pour another glass of wine. And then please put those yoga pants on again…

So hard to pick this one. Lots of match ups that could go either way.

Ultimately I have to go with Vance's inability to cope with McVay. I think Kyler will be better than he has been in the past (his Rams stats suck) but it won't be enough.

Rams 31 - 24 Cards

Rams 35 - Cardinals 21.

Rams get an early lead. Cardinals bring the game back to within a TD and Murray throws a pick six while being pressured by Donald.

Since the first game our pass rush has been disappointing. If it improves, we have a chance. If not KM would have to have an outstanding (best of the year so far) game. JMO.

Rams are the epitome of a bend but don’t break defense. We need to bend them over and break them!
Yes. This is going to come down to execution on offense and discipline on defense.

They way they’re moving 99 around scares me, but I’m hoping we audible at the line to produce 3-4 yards (either on the ground or K2’s favorite wr screen). If we can have an answer for 99 moving around, I’ll feel better.

I’m really hoping the DL brings their A game. I see a big game from Isaiah. Our secondary is going to be tested.

Wise money is put on the Rams, but I think this one is too close to call. I think we match up better defensively than offensively. I’ve watched every Ram game on game pass, and their defense is really good. I could care less where they rank.

24-27 to 20-24, and I think it’s a coin flip on who.

So what you’re saying is one of these team will win.

The Titans game was impressive!
The Vikings game was competitive!
The Jaguars game was embarrassing!
This team cannot compete with the Rams with that type of performance. They will need to prove it to me that they are worthy of a win prediction. For now I’ll have to say….
Rams 34
Cards 21

Here’s what I know about this team. They get “up” for these type of games, even if they sometimes play down to their opponents. For that reason alone I expect the Cards to “show up” tomorrow.

I love that no one is really giving them a chance, kinda like week 1 vs Tennessee.

I understand McVay is 8-0 vs the Cardinals, but this is by far the best Cards team he’ll be going up against to date.

Give me the Cards, 31-24.

Very good post. The Rams will give up yardage, but keep everything in front of themselves. They have 2 absolute game changers in Donald & Ramsey, and wait for teams to make mistakes. A few mistakes on our part & this game is over. We have a smaller margin for error than they do, mainly because up to now, McVay has been a much better play caller & HC than KK. Maybe all that changes today. Time will tell. I think a guy like Rondale is an extremely important element to beating the Rams. To beat the Rams, you need some big plays. Cannot dink & dunk your way to 15 play drives against their D. And those big plays cannot be long pass plays that take too long to develop. His skill set lends itself to YAC, and that's what we need today. On defense, the Cardinals need to find a path to Stafford. If they can't pressure him, he'll find ways to punish us. And, we need gap discipline, as the Rams will run the ball far more than they did against the Buccaneers. Looking forward to a close game. They have been our kryptonite. We need to change that this season.

I'm with you. March into LA and bring back the win.

Cards 30-28. 67-yard field goal as time expires to win the game.

I've got a good feeling about this one, and Vegas is backing me up on that. Plus, it'll help with my Kyler MVP/we win the West bet.

I predict that, win or lose, many will be criticizing our coach, saying we lost because of him or we won in spite of him. Similar to the way they will after we win our first super bowl at the end of this season, when they moan that we should have won by more.

Problem is this may be the best Rams team he’s had in those 8 games
