Back in the day, Los Angeles Lakers fans were used to Kobe Bryant going off in crunch time to deliver victory on a regular basis. On Sunday in Game 4 of the Lakers' first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, those fans saw a rising superstar do the same for the opposing team.

Anthony Edwards, who has been compared by many to Bryant and Michael Jordan for his athleticism, clutch abilities and overall chutzpah, went off for 43 points on Sunday. Sixteen of his points came in the fourth quarter, when a 94-84 Lakers lead turned into a 116-113 Lakers loss.

Edwards welcomes all comers, and he got physical with LeBron James in the late stages of Game 4.

After the game, he talked about why he got physical with the 22-year veteran.

Anthony Edwards wanted to make a point to LeBron by pushing him

"Just letting him know that we're here. You ain't just gonna push us around all night. Just trying to be a pest to him out there"

James got some criticism following Game 3 because he was seen laughing with Edwards in the final minutes of that contest. Now, the only ones laughing are the Timberwolves, who lead this series three games to one. They can knock the stunned Lakers out of the playoffs in Game 5 on Wednesday at Crypto.com Arena.
