The upcoming NBA playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves promises to be a competitive one that will feature plenty of star power. The Lakers boast LeBron James and Luka Doncic as legitimate superstars, as well as an emerging star in Austin Reaves.
Meanwhile, Minnesota has Anthony Edwards, the explosive and exciting superstar guard who has expanded his game this season. He used to live above the rim often, but he has now become a pretty elite 3-point shooter by hitting 39.5% of his 10.3 3-point attempts a game during the regular season.
Edwards is someone who has as much chutzpah as anyone in the league. When he talked about playing against James in a playoff series, he didn't sound star-struck at all, although he did praise the 40-year-old.
Like James, Edwards is someone who can win games almost by himself. He put up 27.6 points a game and reached the 40-point mark nine times during the regular season, and in last year's playoffs, he reached the milestone three times in 16 games.
James may have averaged under 25 points a game for the first time since his rookie season, but he could end up being very dangerous in this series because of the arrival of Doncic and the amount of defensive attention Doncic attracts. In the last meeting between the Lakers and Timberwolves, James had 33 points, 17 rebounds and six assists in a 111-102 victory.

Anthony Edwards on playing LeBron James and the Lakers
“It means a lot, to be matched up against him. Probably goes down as the greatest player to ever play basketbal. Trying to put him out of the playoffs under my belt is going to be a tough one”#bringthenicepic.twitter.com/2NC3p2b5xk
