Angels' Mike Trout hits another HR to join Aaron Judge in rare Yankee Stadium history originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Angels' four-game series against the New York Yankees in the middle of April of 2026 will be remembered for some time as the series where Mike Trout and Aaron Judge got off to their own home run derby against one another.
Entering the fourth and final game of the series, Trout had hit four homers in the previous three games, while Judge had hit three homers. After an early homer in Game 4 from Judge, Trout joined the party for his fifth homer of the series.
As MLB.com's Bryan Hoch noted, this 446-foot blast from Trout had the Angels' future Hall of Famer joining Yankee Stadium history that only Judge has done before since its opening in 2009.
Mike Trout joins Aaron Judge in consecutive HR Yankee Stadium history
"Mike Trout has homered in five straight games at Yankee Stadium dating back to last season," Hoch shared. "He joins Aaron Judge (5 in Aug. 2024) as the only players to do so since the place opening in 2009."
This is some incredible history for Trout. But, while he's joining Judge in this Yankee Stadium feat, it's even more impressive considering the difference between the two.
Judge plays at Yankee Stadium all of the time, so he has plenty more chances to have such a streak. Trout doesn't play in New York nearly as often, and yet, he's made some history that no player has ever done.

Trout is the first and only visiting hitter to slug a home run in five straight games at Yankee Stadium. And his record-setting mark was a 446-foot blast to make it 7-4 in the 7th inning of the series finale.
Trout has hit five homers in this series and is the hottest hitter in Major League Baseball. His record-setting streak at Yankee Stadium is incredibly impressive.
Trout's been putting on a show along with Judge in this series, as the two future Hall of Famers have combined for nine homers in this four-game series on their own.
