Really? Aside from the Panthers game I think the D is much improved over last year. And as far as the division goes. The Cards can order the banner now. Its over. (barring catastrophic injuries or being eaten by dragons)

I thought they were bad yesterday. Our offense overwhelmed Chicago and it is a good thing. Don't forget the Colts game either. They may be better than last year's regular season D but not by much.

Plus, look at their wins. They played the Cards w/out Boldin and Breaston healthy and barely eked out a win. Their other wins were Sea and Stl. I never fell for the hype. Their best game they played was the loss to Minny.

That was a pretty famed good performance and another game they could have won on the road in Indy!

i love niner fans with no hope. And the projection in this thread for the win loss for the niners is useless because none of those games are guaranteed wins or losses. the bears a guaranteed win? no.

I forgot about the colts game. (blacked it out?) But still think it is a much better defense. The change in coaching alone made it better.

still,when you best games are close losses, that's not good. I used to hate when the Cards were 4-12,5-11 but the announcers would say they were "in" every game and had X number of losses by 5 points or less.

Actually, if the 49'er board fans are like us, then today being Wednesday, they're starting to believe they'll win against the Bears, and perhaps win out the rest of the season. A short hop later, and they find games the division leader will lose.

By Thursday night they'll be sure they'll win the division.
