When you look at Arizona's schedule do you honestly think they will lose that many games? I have them going 12-4 or 11-5. Their only losses left I see is against the Vikings and maybe us and thats a big maybe since were both completely different since the first time we played. If they didn't blow the game against the Panthers they could have been 13-3 or 12-4.

He has more faith in this team than I do

You just be sure to get the win next Sunday.

I haven't done worth a darn. May have to sell the rest of my share of the tickets just so we can make the playoffs.

I still see this thing coming down to the MNF game in December.

It depends. Our schedule to the MNF game is:

SEA (W)
@ STL (W)
@ TEN (W)
MIN (L)
then the SF Game.

Theirs is:

CHI (W)
@ Green Bay (L)
JAC (L)
@ SEA (W)

Providing these predictions hold true (and if they don't, I'll issue you a full refund), that would put us up 3 games going in the MNF game.

Assuming we lose that game, we'd be 2 games up, with 3 left to play. We play STL, DET, and GB. They play PHI, DET, and STL. We'll win 2 perhaps all 3, they'll win 2 probably.

Means we're still in the driver's seat regardless. Now, if we lose a game or two we should win, and we're going into that MNF game 1 game up or even, then it becomes HUGE.

I'm 1-1 myself - including a very nerve racking HOU game (went to the opener on another set of tickets).

The key is to get 40 all riled up before the game by talking politics. He goes bananas and out screams the whole section :D

[edit] - I know that my good luck charm is going to be there - a friend of mine whose a huge SEA fan - owns club seats a Qwest. Every SEA / Cards game he's been to with me, the Cards win.

Don't Bite...

Trying to scope out comparative schedules is futile and dangerous.

At the start of the season, who had the Giant game marked down for a W and the Carolina game for a L?

Each game is as important as every other game.

(I know the CW pegs games against division opponents as more important because one team picks up a win while the other picks up a loss. But it's just as possible for Team A to lose a winnable game outside its division while Team B wins a lose-able non-division game with the same net result).

I'm glad we won and are happy. I'm glad the Niners lost and are unhappy. Let's hope the Niners lose to the Bears Thursday and we beat Seattle Sunday. But I wouldn't dare predict this. Too many variables.

To think going to Tennessee for an automatic win is crazy!!! Johnson is killing teams running the football and the 1 game where a team attacked us on the edges (Carolina), we got smoked!!! That game scares the hell out of me. VY for all his faults at QB adds an extra dimension and is playing quite well. I think that game will end our road magic.

division will be won again by a 9-7
games I feel we will win STL 2 games, Seatlle & Det, now we got our 9 W
Min, GB, Ten, SF - we need 1 of those for 10 W

should we beat SF away, this will be the end of SF hopes

SF should lose @PHI & @GB 7 L, assuming they win the other 6 games

not over yet
although we are in a better position

Agree with your first statement, however Carolina was 12-4 last year, so at the start of the season, lots of people had Carolina as a loss.

I honestly dont know what to make of the Niners. Are they just a young rebuilding team going through a rough patch or is Singletarys boot camp catching up to them or is Singletarys brash bravado style wearing thin on the players (which it usually does in the NFL but works great on college ball). I think it could be a combo of all 3.

Just like Carolina, the Titans won 10+ games last year. If we learned anything from the Carolina game, then that lesson should be used towards the Titans game.

If you sleep on the Titans they are going to beat you up.

I am not nearly as confident as most posting in this thread. I still believe the niners are in it. We will lose a game we all are sure should be a win.

I hope I am wrong but this division is far from wrapped up. I really don't like the way our D has played lately.

The Tennessee game is a win because i will be there and, after yesterday's win in Chicago, i haven't seen the Cards lose in person for over 3 years and am on a 17 game win streak for all my teams when in attendance. The only time i have seen the Cards lose since 2004 was in Baltimore and they were robbed that game. Plus you to have to take into account that CardsfanMD was there to counteract all good karma i bring the Cards and that's a pretty tough force to overcome :D .

Really? Aside from the Panthers game I think the D is much improved over last year. And as far as the division goes. The Cards can order the banner now. Its over. (barring catastrophic injuries or being eaten by dragons)

After the Carolina game, and with the way Warner's performances have been alternating in quality, I am not taking anything for granted.

If we lose to Seattle at home (where we haven't been great) and they beat the Bears who are on the road after a short week, then we're 5-4 and they're 4-5 with the second game between us still to come. That's still a position where they very much control their own destiny.

Agreed. SF has lost 4 in a row and 5 of 6. Why would anyone believe that they are now going to go on some sort of long winning streak?

They have injury woes on the O-line and in the secondary and their head coach is nothing more than a motivational speaker.

Oh yeah, their QB's are garbage! Their only hope is Warner going down, and even then we would still probably win the division at 8-8 or 7-9.

Plus, look at their wins. They played the Cards w/out Boldin and Breaston healthy and barely eked out a win. Their other wins were Sea and Stl. I never fell for the hype. Their best game they played was the loss to Minny.

49er defense is good, offense is still struggling. Turnovers beat them yesterday. Offense should be better with Gore back, Crabtree in and Smith throwing the ball better than Hill. But the OL is beat up and as they said repeatedly in the 4th quarter yesterday after our game ended, Smith has a very bad habit of being late on throws, the "ball has to come out quicker."

That was his rep early on he held the ball too long, he's gotten better but he's still late on his timing. Throwing late in the NFL is often a bad thing.

Let's not plant any flags on the turf just yet. I want to see this team play with intensity game in and game out, especially at home.

I really want a good ROI on my season ticket investment this season aside from the delicious tailgate food.
