I guess I'm primarily reverting back to my phase of listening to non-stop "Classic Rock" and that's essentially what Santana is... A CLASSIC!
I selected "Santana III" because it contains my all-time favorite song by them "No One To Depend On", but the entire album comprises of an excellent flair of "psychadelia" with all the Latino mixture of sound which was really ahead of its time back then.....
Carlos Santana has to be among one of the most underrated guitarist of any era and the best line-up was the Woodstock era one which also consisted of then guitar prodigy Neal Schon and Gregg Rolle's masterful keyboard playing (both later figured prominently into the earlier greatness of Journey)...
Listening to "Santana III" makes one remember what "rock music" should be like and also makes you realize what a vital role they had in ushering a sound that still exist today.....
