Alabama baseball vs. St. John's has been delayed an hour

The Tuscaloosa Super Regional between the Crimson Tide and the Red Storm was pushed back an hour due to weather in Tuscaloosa. First pitch will be at 3 p.m. CT, one hour after the original first pitch time.

Alabama won Game 1 against St. John's Saturday, June 6, beating the Red Storm 8-0. Alabama is one win away from a College World Series berth.

NCAA lightning delay rules​


According to NCAA tules, once lightning is detected in the area, the contest is delayed or suspended for 30 minutes. The clock resets for each strike within a six-mile radius following the initial strike.

NCAA weather policy​


In the event of a weather delay, fans at Sewell-Thomas Stadium should keep their tickets. Fans will ened the game ticket from the original game to re-enter the stadium.

If the game is postponed to another day, fans should follow the game number listed on their updated mobile ticket.
