Alabama baseball vs. St. John's is under delay again

After the start time was pushed back an hour due to weather, the Tuscaloosa Super Regional between the Crimson Tide and the Red Storm was delayed in the eighth inning Sunday, June 7th with Alabama leading 7-2.

The weather delay began at 5:36 p.m.

NCAA lightning delay rules​


According to NCAA tules, once lightning is detected in the area, the contest is delayed or suspended for 30 minutes. The clock resets for each strike within a six-mile radius following the initial strike.

NCAA weather policy​


In the event of a weather delay, fans at Sewell-Thomas Stadium should keep their tickets. Fans will ened the game ticket from the original game to re-enter the stadium.

If the game is postponed to another day, fans should follow the game number listed on their updated mobile ticket.
