Greens quote about it was pretty funny at the end. He is always brought up with the Raiders. Probably a whole lot of nothing in the end.

Davis is nuts for sure. The league should take over the franchise for the good of the NFL.

...... The league should take over the franchise for the good of the NFL.

It wasn't too long ago that people were saying that about the NFL franchise in Arizona.

Davis could have hired Green last year if he wanted him...

That makes no sense.

Oh, wait this is Al Davis we're talking about!

It's a same what has happened to that franchise, once one of the best in the NFL.

It has to be a relief for Kiffin to get out of that mess.

"Al Davis is who I thought he was.....and let me off the hook".

ESPN.com is reporting that Kiffin won't resign. What a wonderful story this is.

Pretty common sense huh? I just didn't want to get caught up in one of those message board dilemas where I say "He'll get some kind of payout" and someone replies "You got a link? Prove it."

You know, Denny had one more year of salary from the Bidwills if he didn't coach last year. Hence, Denny's "If they want me they can offer the job. I don't need to interview" comment last year. Maybe Al had this in mind all the time when he hired Kiffin.

I just saw this on ESPN. Unreal. Davis is has lost it.
yes he has. at some point he needs to move on, coach the team, or bring in a guy who he will let be a coach. he is ridiculous and I feel bad for their fans right now. I know JJones takes a lot of heat for being a control freak as he wants to be involved with the team.....but this is beyond that. well beyond.....

I think if that was the case, then Davis would have just elevated an assistant as a lame duck instead of signing a coach to a 3 year deal. With Al Davis though, you never know what he's thinking, or even IF he's thinking at all.

Personally, I hope they do hire Dennis Green. I hate the Raiders and Green both, and it would be a joy to watch them fail together.
