So is his agent. Anyone that thinks that Kyler will settle for 30-35M is dreaming.

He is going to get closer to 45. Bank on it.

Undoubtedly, Shrimboat's going to score between $40M and $45M.
And yes, he's worth 10 - 15 less than that.
No matter what they pay him, I guarantee many fans are not going to cut him much slack. If he picks up where he left off last year, he's getting booed. I predict serious sulking on the horizon...

If Kyler had won all those MVP's, I'd be willing to pay him as well.

If Rogers is worth $50/million a year, Murray is worth half that

I understand your frustrations with the player but the economics are clear here. If you understand the market and are reticent to pay it then you trade the player.

I dont want to pay him that either. However, thats why you take care of his deal now because 50 mill is what Herbert is getting and he wont have that on his resume either.

He will get more than Rodgers. If Rodgers is at 50 million then his 5th year option after multiple pro bowls will be at the franchise tag level. So after that is 20% more and then 40% more.

I look forward to seeing the structure. They are already well over the cap and the guaranteed money is really high.

I swear to Christ if Kyler's agent tries to use Aaron Rodger's contract as a baseline I am all for trading him out...

He doesn't have to. The NFL rules does it for him. Every contract signed now increases his 5th year option, the franchise tag, and the second tag.

This isn't complicated.

So ridiculous Kyler hasn't accomplished absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. He hasn't even won a must win game in his short career.

Kyler should be looking at the progression of Rodgers' contracts and not at the contract he earned after all of these years, 2 MVP's, and a SB win.

OK that makes more sense to me I was wondering why they gave him a 4 year deal but it sounds like they're quite aware he might not play all 4 years.
