Former NFL star Aaron Donald is eyeing a future beyond the gridiron despite recent rumors linking him back to the Los Angeles Rams.
The longtime defensive disruptor is making waves in regards to a potential NFL comeback in 2026. However, it’s also clear that Donald is plotting his next career move once football is officially in his past.

Front Office Sports reports that Donald wants a sports media career amid suggestions that he’s coming back to the Rams for the upcoming season. The 35-year-old star retired from the NFL back in 2024, but it seems as though he’s had a change of heart.
Donald proved to be a crucial piece for the Rams defense over his 10-year NFL career. However, his abrupt retirement stunned many football fans considering how successful Los Angeles has been under head coach Sean McVay.

Los Angeles appears to be making another major push towards a Super Bowl after acquiring Myles Garrett via trade during the offseason. The Rams also completed a significant trade for Trent McDuffie to bolster their defense.

The three-time AP Defensive Player of the Year could become the latest football star to make the jump into sports media. Fox recently unveiled its broadcast team for the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
It’s unclear what type of position Donald could seek out if his next chapter is in sports media. However, recent success stories like Tom Brady, J.J. Watt and Greg Olsen could lead him towards broadcasting.
