With All-Star weekend approaching, now is the time for the rosters for the All-Star game and Rising Stars Challenge as well as All-Star Saturday night to be selected.
The Philadelphia 76ers will have a representative in the game on Feb. 15 in Los Angeles as Tyrese Maxey has been selected as an All-Star starter. The Sixers will also send rookie guard VJ Edgecombe to LA for the Rising Stars Challenge--which is no surprise.
Edgecombe has been terrific in his rookie season averaging 15.6 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.2 rebounds as a young player in this league. It's no surprise that he is headed to Los Angeles for the game on Feb. 13.
Edgecombe has had his ups and downs, as every rookie does, but the Sixers are in a better spot due to having him on the roster. He will continue to be the best he possibly can on a nightly basis.
