As the Denver Broncos kick off training camp this week, the health of quarterback Bo Nix (ankle) will be a key storyline.

Nix underwent surgery in January after breaking his ankle in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. He had a clean-up procedure a few months later and was limited this spring. The Broncos and Nix have both said he will be full-speed at training camp, and the QB appeared to move well in offseason workout videos.

Another key offensive player returning from injury is running back J.K. Dobbins (foot), who has said he could have returned for the Super Bowl last season had Denver made it that far. Three others returning from serious injuries are offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo (knee), defensive lineman Matt Henningsen (Achilles) and safety Brandon Jones (pectoral). Gargiulo will begin camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

The list of players who were sidelined this spring includes tight end Caleb Lohner (lower body) and guard Ben Powers (unknown). We'll see if there are status updates for those players when veterans report for camp on Tuesday.
