HORN LAKE, Miss. — Saturday morning, three-time Super Bowl Champion Darius Harris returned to his alma mater of Horn Lake High School to host his third annual youth camp.
There were more than 150 kids in attendance, with ages ranging from six to 15.
“It’s a blessing for me to be able to give back to the youth by hosting my third annual camp to see the growth year by year. And to see the kids come out is just a testimony to, the community, by giving kids the opportunity to grow in their knowledge in the game,” said Harris.
Harris was not only leading the fundamental drills, but also wanted to leave the group with skills that they can use off the field.
“It’s wonderful, and let me know that I’m doing a good job of just giving back and providing them a platform and an opportunity to just be able to expand their game and to be able to enjoy the community, enjoy other kids out here that wants the same thing as them. So it’s always a pleasure.”
