There’s an added benefit to senior running back Jayden Limar being back in his home state with the Washington Huskies for his final year of college football.
He gets to give back to his prep alma mater before suiting up in purple and gold this fall.
Limar, a former four-star recruit in the 2023 class out of Lake Stevens High School, announced on his social media over the weekend that he will host his first-annual youth football camp at his high school alma mater on July 11. The ex-Oregon Duck is hosting the camp at Lake Stevens HS stadium, where he racked up a large amount of his 3,743 career rushing yards over four years, for ages 4 to 14, on a limited basis.
In addition to the senior UW running back, Limar indicated that other Husky teammates could also be at the event, which is scheduled for roughly three weeks before the start of training camp in August.
”I am excited to announce that I will be hosting my first annual youth camp in my hometown of Lake Stevens, Washington,” Limar wrote in a post shared to Instagram this week. “I am extremely excited that God gave me the opportunity to be back in my community and provide a fun camp for young athletes to have fun and work on their craft.”
Limar spent three seasons in Eugene from 2023-25, rushing for 442 yards and 4 touchdowns on 92 attempts over 33 career games while adding 20 receptions for 207 receiving yards and a touchdown catch for the Ducks.
The former Lake Stevens standout missed all of spring camp with an ankle injury, but Fisch stated after UW’s spring game that the senior transfer should be good to go for the start of fall camp in August.
