The Alabama Crimson Tide will be on the road to face the LSU Tigers on Saturday night.

The Tide enter the matchup fresh off an absolute thriller against Arkansas on Wednesday. Alabama defeated the Razorbacks in double overtime by a score of 117-115, as star Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr. recorded a career-high 35 points in the matchup. The playmaker continues to perform at an elite level on a nightly basis, as the Tide will look to improve to a 10-4 record in SEC play on Saturday.

Here are three bold takes for Alabama’s matchup against LSU in Baton Rouge.

Philon recorded a career-high 35 points on 11-of-21 shooting during the win over the Razorbacks. The talented sophomore is widely regarded as a top guard in all of college basketball this season, as Philon could quickly find himself having yet another big time performance against the Tigers this weekend.

Philon currently averages 21.8 points and 5 assists per game, as the guard continues to turn heads throughout the college basketball world.

Sherrell had a career-night on Wednesday evening against the Razorbacks in similar fashion to Philon. The talented forward was credited with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the victory, as Sherrell has been nothing short of elite on the offensive glass during the month of February.

The sophomore currently averages six rebounds per game this season, but Sherrell could quickly begin to dominate the glass once again this weekend.

The star forward totaled 19 points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday night, as Allen could be in prime position to record his second double-double in a row against the Tigers on Saturday. Allen currently averages 11.9 points and a team-high 7.7 rebounds per game, as the freshman could emerge with a key role in the matchup against LSU.
