The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet 16 on Friday evening.

The Tide will enter the matchup following one of their best overall performances of the season, as Alabama was unstoppable on the offensive end of the floor against Texas Tech. The Tide were elite defensively as well, and Alabama will undoubtedly need to play just as well against one of the top teams in all of college basketball.

Here are three bold predictions for Alabama’s matchup vs. Michigan in the Sweet 16.

Labaron Philon Jr. shines in the spotlight, records 30+ points

Philon’s elite playmaking ability was on full display in the round of 32 vs. Texas Tech. The star guard scored just nine points on 2-of-12 shooting, but Philon compiled 12 assists and six rebounds throughout 35 minutes of play.

Philon could bounce back in authoritative fashion against the Wolverines on Friday, as the talented guard will look to shine in one of the biggest games of his career.

Latrell Wrightsell stays red hot, records 5+ three pointers

It almost seemed as if Wrightsell could not miss from behind the arc against the Red Raiders on Sunday. The star senior scored 24 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Texas Tech, including an impressive 6-of-9 from three point range.

Wrightsell will need to stay red hot from behind the arc against an elite Michigan team, as the Tide will more than likely continue turning to the talented sharpshooter as much as possible.

Aiden Sherrell dominates the glass, records 10+ rebounds

Sherrell will more than likely be the x-factor for the Tide during Friday’s contest vs. Michigan. The Wolverines are an elite rebounding team with excellent size, as Sherrell will need to be aggressive and dominate the paint to the best of his ability.

Sherrell recorded just two rebounds in 17 minutes against Texas Tech, but the star forward could bounce back against Michigan in the Sweet 16.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Michigan Wolverines at 6:35 p.m. CT on Friday night, as the Tide will look to keep their season alive in Chicago.
