The Winter Olympics fever may be calming down, but it’s time to bundle up in your Team USA sweaters once again with the 2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics officially getting underway on Friday, March 6.
The Games will begin with the Opening Ceremony at Verona Olympic Arena at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Today’s opening ceremony will begin airing on the USA Network, with a pre-Olympic show half an hour prior. A re-air will be available Saturday night in primetime on NBC.
The Opening Ceremony is being directed by Italian writer and creative Alfredo Accatino, who was also responsible for the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Games.

Sports included in the Winter Paralympics include para alpine skiing, para biathlon, para cross-country skiing, para ice hockey, para snowboarding, and wheelchair curling.
56 countries will be participating in the Paralympics, which will conclude on Sunday, March 15.
