I just wanted this noted on the books.

1 - Monti and Gannon will be back.

2 - Petzing and Kyler will be gone.

3 - Bidwill will not allow Monti to use his 2027 1st rounder to trade up for a QB in 2026.

4 - The Cardinals will not use a 2026 1st round pick on a QB.

5 - Brissett will be the starting QB week 1.

I’m starting to believe we won’t win another game this year. Falcons game is the most winnable, but their pass-rush is lethal. That’s also a game we NEED to lose because that’s the Rams 1st rounder as well.

Bengals will have Burrow back,

Yea I’m not sure if I see a win.

Gannon & Monti stays.

Petzing/Kyler both go.

Tennessee, Cleveland, & Vegas I’m sure the only teams that will finish with a worse record than us. Maybe less confident in Vegas than the other two.

Hate to say it but all these are closer to reality than we would like and let me add the only one that is probably further from reality than stated is Petzing being gone.

1 - Monti and Gannon will be back. (agree)

2 - Petzing and Kyler will be gone. (agree)

3 - Bidwill will not allow Monti to use his 2027 1st rounder to trade up for a QB in 2026.

4 - The Cardinals will not use a 2026 1st round pick on a QB.

5 - Brissett will be the starting QB week 1. (agree unless injury occurs)
I think some nuances will show how hot things are next year:

2 - How many further changes occur on the the offense coaching staff beyond Petzing?
3/4 - If true, then we should hear a bunch of pre-draft chatter about poor/limited QB class (sort of like the belly of team pre-draft nonsense); if no chatter, #3 may be false and #4 is still true with good picks on board, then Monty may just suck.

Why get rid of Petzing if Kyler is the problem, and if Petzing is the problem, why part ways with Kyler?

So a cardinal hunting a Seahawk took aim with a pistol , perfect aim, squeeze and smoke clears and the seahawk grabs the cardinal by the neck and says : that wasn’t very nice of you, I’ll give you a choice - you drop your feathers right down so I can have my way with you - or I’m gonna eat you!

Cardinals drops his feathers

Peed off cardinal goes and grabs a rifle, gets highly ground and gets a perfect bead upon the Seahawk- squeeze and after the recoil and smoke clears , Seahawk grabs Cardinal by the neck and says twice? That was not nice of you at all - drop your feathers so I can have my way with you or I’m gonna eat you!

Cardinals drops his feathers and Seahawk has its way with it.

Cardinal really peed now , breaks into the national guard armory and gets a laws rocket - find Seahawk and gets a target on Seahawks, whoosh—- trees, rocks blow scattered, smoke clears …
Seahawk grabs Cardinal by the neck and says,

That’s the third time buddy, you ain’t here for the hunt now are you?

I agree with most of these.

I don't think the Cardinals use their first on a QB. I think they snag one in the early second or move back up into the late first to grab a QB (Like the Giants with Dart last season). I think they go WR or OL with their 1st. IMO they need more pieces in place on offense for a young rookie QB to succeed.

Brissett will obviously be the starting QB entering week 1 of the 2026 season. He will remain the starter until he falters or gets injured. This will give any rookie more time to adjust to the NFL.

I don't think the Cardinals will be there at 4 but that's just a vibe. I am really questioning if both Mendoza AND Simpson will declare. I am thinking someone else will trade up for the available QBs or they teams above the Cardinals will just be QB needy teams. Obviously VERY early but I think AZ will end up in a spot where they would have to trade up for a QB and Bidwill will not let them give up a 2027 1st to do so.

I can’t even imagine the laughable marketing campaign the Cards will try to pull over the fanbase going into the fourth year of a rebuild, with no previous playoffs and trotting out… Jacoby Brissett as the man to lead us to the promised land.

Monti/Gannon will be the deadest men walking since Brian Daboll this season.

This team waited a season too long when I thought it was obvious and necessary to cut bait with Kyler especially with his contract this past offseason and they’re going to repeat the sins of the past with the front office/coach wasting another year of all of our time, putting us even further away from any hope of having a winner again.

Kyler's contract made it near impossible to cut him in 2025. He still had $95M in guarantees that the Cardinals would have had to deal with. They could have designated him a post June 1st cut but his contract still would have hit the Cardinals for $77M this season.

I think they will add a QB in rounds 2 or 3. I just don't think there will be a QB on the board that presents good value for AZ when the pick.

I think a lot of teams who need QBs are going to take the Jets approach and find ways to add picks for the 1st round of the 2027 draft.

Ideally Petzing and the entire offensive staff are let go. And JG and Monti are able to land the next Sean McVay who takes over in 2027. There ought to be a couple of good OC candidates available, but I don't know if there will be a QB in the draft who is better than Josh Rosen level beyond Mendoza who is destined for Cleveland or the Jets.

I dont see cleveland drafting a qb. I believe they stick with Dillon Gabriel

They could have traded him, which would have raised some questions about why you’re trading a franchise qb in the middle of your rebuild. Probably would have been easier then than today.

Kinda hope #3 is correct. I wouldn’t be opposed to trading McBride for future assets if they’re prime picks. Everything depends on getting a QB in 27’. The next 18 months are going to be rough but we know Bidwill isn’t paying three different regimes.

I'd like to see the cards go OL with their first pick. Without a good line, any QB selected will flounder. Then their next pick, trading up if needed, get a QB.

Then if 27 is supposed to be a better QB draft, using their 1st, again trading up if needed, to get a hopefully exceptional prospect then. It's past time this team makes drafting a QB and getting it right a priority.
