Lights got too bright for the Spurs... 3rd time in the series they completely turtle up and lose.

They need to trade Fox, Harper is the better player right now and should be running the offense when Wemby isn't. He and Wemby are going to be a nightmare going forward.

Real lightning in a bottle run for the Knicks.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think that Fox bet against his team, or had a handshake deal with his former coach.

Dolan is probably literally the only thing that could make Knicks fans actually feel some ambivalence about this moment. :D

Experience matters. There is nothing wrong with the spurs. They will grow. Super young and it’s rare for a team that young to win an nba title. I’m a little surprised they beat OKC. The Knicks made all the plays in the clutch. Even the game the Knicks lost, the spurs seemed shaky down the stretch.

i think the great wemby catches the dirty player label at some point - elbows - cheap shots - almost took brunson out tonight

It will be interesting to see wemby develop. He’s a monster. But he’s gotta be more consistent. And that will come if he puts in the work.

I am trying to remember a player who has improved from a role player, coming into the league, into a superstar to the degree that Jalen Brunson has. He has been a full time, every game starter, only the last 4 of his 8 years.

No one is really coming to mind. He is pretty unique and his performance in the 4th quarter was special.

it sure looked like he was looking down at brunson's foot before brunson landed

On the 3? I thought he was trying so hard not to go forward and foul Brunson he ended up stepping forward to keep his balance and then Brunson landed on his foot. Should have been a flagrant per the rules.

It's REALLY hard to play now, I love Brunson and he is not at the level of Harden or SGA but he baits you and then steps right into it. The reason I prefer him over Harden or SGA is he's almost always trying to make the shot, they're often just trying to bait you so they can jump in or step in and cause the contact

Brunson was absolutely brilliant today.

And again I have a man crush on Harper, that kid is something special. Had a tough finish to the game missed a couple of drives and a FT but he's so good for a 20 year old. I know he's washed up but was surprised we didn't see Harrison Barnes at all, experienced guy, lots of finals games, and he can make a jumpshot.

Not quite the same but Steve Nash only started 79 games over his first four seasons before becoming a regular starter. And even then, he was a long ways from the star he became.
