In Mike LaFleur's interview with Dani Sureck, he said that the first things he looks for in a QB are someone that is a processor of defenses and someone that is tough and can stand in the pocket. This sure isn't Kyler.

Bernard...gross. So many better options for AZ in this mock draft. Peter Woods. R Mason Thomas. CJ Allen. Lee Hunter. Ty Simpson.

I am happy Matt Miller gets paid to do something he likes, but his stuff is kinda buns.
Right??
at that pick...MLB/ILB,...or my favorite...OG, shoring up the O-Line never hurt.
I aint totally against adding a WR but at that pick the guy would need to be a slam dunk in value, because there are bigger needs and guys available to fill them

Definitely think they have to add a WR who can stretch the field. Their current group jams up the middle range target area that’s already compounded with McBride’s preferred routes. Throwing in the middle is like running through a minefield. It’s too easy to play zone against that convergence. I think Hackett is underrated when it comes to route design. If ML is decent as a play caller a deep threat would open things up. Of course in part that depends on getting a better arm than Brissett at QB. BTW I can’t imagine Carr would come to AZ.

Problem is, just about every team needst to add the same kind of WR, making it really difficult to fill.

The questions are, who do you take off the field? How much 11 personnel are you willing to commit to? What is the appropriate investment level for that role? If MLF comes in and sees his best personnel groups lead him to a lot of multiple TE personnel, getting a "field stretcher" is going to be minimized.

Also, some of the Cardinals issues with stretching the field came from QB play that didn't want to hold onto the ball and an offensive line that couldn't hold up.

Yeah agree. The Rams don't have a field stretcher outside Tutu Atwell and he barely gets snaps.

Yeah, I am sure they will add some speed, but I think it will be a low investment to get it. Mid to late round pick or lower salary.

If we roll with Brissett I'm fine with bringing back Zay Jones (if healthy) as they had a good rapport and Jones can stretch the field.

Also, MHJ is quick, he just hasn't been asked to use it much.
