The kid has moments in which he is close to the best I have ever seen.
Thats what makes it so hard to see him follow up with bonehead mistakes... dudes performance on the field is is as BiPolar as hell...its just so hard to be 100 percent certain if he is a dude you can count on to develop further or if he is a coach killer.

I did some checking... to pay him as the fourth-fifth best punter would only cost us roughly 3 years at 9.6mil
everybody from ten to 4 is right around 3 mil

Only 4 starters in their final year, where 2 of them is the K and P.

I mean, that's a point in MO's favor, right? I think we're either in "good" or "excellent" shape when it comes to the cap.

And we went pretty hard in FA this past off-season, but none of the deals were super-expensive to the point they will hamstring us in next few years.

It's fits and starts, but MO doing his damnedest to build a roster that can be successful over the long term.

We’re 16th in cap space for next year with $14.6 million. If a couple stars emerge from our group of youngsters, you’re probably right. But this was the core of an 8-win team.

Success has to come first before you start considering what comes later.

It would be just enough for him to get a better offer in FA, than staying in AZ.
But this being his third year...we can just ink him next spring to longer term extension. No point in letting him become a free agent if he shows he can fill the role asked of him.
I just see all these folks downing his performance and wanting a thousand yards from him...and I just dont think its realistic to expect that with our offense....but if his catch rate and his YAC both go up that makes him more of a threat with the targets he is already getting...so if McBride or Marvin happen to miss any time he can pick up the slack with 5 or 6 extra targets a game.

We should have about the same amount to spend next season as this season - perhaps a bit more depending on how much the cap increase.

Very good position, because we have to expect less holes to spend on. But we also has to start giving out mega deals to Monti’s draft picks. CB Williams should be getting a new deal and PJJ need one either next or in two years.

People keep saying the interior OL is the problem when it’s really the slow team speed on offense is.

We genuinely might be the slowest team on offense this season.
Kinda yes, and kinda no.

Kyler Murray is one of the faster QBs in the NFL.
Trey McBride ran a 4.56 at the combine which is not slow for a TE.
Marv is 40 yard fast but seems to lack a bit of burst.
Wilson is slow for a WR.
Zay Jones ran a 4.45 at the combine.
James conner is slow.
Trey Benson ran a 4.39 at the combine.

So, a lot of it depends on which players are playing and are using their speed. If we run less 12, well, Zay Jones adds a significantly greater speed element than playing Tip Reiman. Benson getting more snaps also helps the on field speed. That said, the Cardinals definitely do not have a 4.3 WR that they are using to stretch the field vertically.
