He’s not wrong.

Weaver had good production and positive draft profiles as a developmental prospect. But the draft profiles are from the same sources where your conclusion is the exact opposite of their conclusion. So empirical evidence that you are incapable of reading it.

There's the eye test. Just watching him, he clearly has excellent ball skills. He's just small and in the NFL if you're small, that's probably not enough. If he can't return punts or kicks, he better be really good to take up a roster spot on game day.

There is no play to make. He is, de facto, the starting OG. Who the heck else would start there? We have criminally understaffed the position.
All our eggs in one basket

JG really gambling at this point

All we can do is hope for the best

MO has to be looking at options

He totally ignored the O this off season

I am sure Monti doesn't look at it that way. He signed two OG, Newman and Curhan, who have 24 and 11 starts in the NFL apiece. More than Adams. Of course we can say we don't think that they are very good but Monti must think they can work out.

But, we had money to sign an unquestioned starter but it didn't happen.

What could this possibly be based on?

"He put on some weight, so I think he's a little more physical running routes," Gannon said Thursday, per the Cardinals' livestream. "He's not getting knocked around at the line of scrimmage."

With the goal of helping him win more contested catches, Gannon added that putting on weight was a goal for Weaver this offseason. Weaver's current weight is unknown, but the Cardinals listed him at 6-foot-1 and 169 pounds last season.

Connor is the wildcard. Didn't allow a sack his whole college career at Texas and can play multiple spots.

Pew pew pew

Don’t fall for the hype. Coaches say this stuff to pump up their dudes and get em motivated.

Dortch had one game over 47 yards.

Curhan is the wildcard for me. Played RT with the Bears including 17 snap against us. Looked horrible.

Was forced to start at G due to injury. Looked decent in a couple of games - as in good enough to earn a roster spot (pff grade in high 60s = lower range average starter grade).

With him playing and training for G only, a better scheme fit here and the usual late bloomer for OL he could become a quality back-up or average starter.

Either way, coaching staff preferred him over Colon, who I think showed really good play for the 4th G on the roster.

Garrett Williams expects another jump in Year 3 with Cardinals

When asked where on the field he sees himself playing more, Williams said that he can play the safety position in addition to corner but he’s “just excited to be just out there on the field.”
