@SirStefan32

If you haven't heard Dragic might be traded to Raptors.

The entire speculation is that the reason they picked up his option is so that he can be included in a trade to make the numbers work. I still remember when he was a young buck playing for us. I was not thrilled about Dragic or Lopez picks but thought if any player had a chance to improve it was him Dragic verses Lopez.

Rumor Iggy might end up going back to Warriors.

Both turned out to be solid picks and Dragic was a steal in the second round.

I've always entertained in the back of my mind the unlikely idea of Dragic returning to the Suns for a third time.

Lopez was not a solid pick. The Suns let him walk (traded) for a reason. They let him go for Wesley Johnson, dead contracts in Brad Miller, Jerome Dyson and a protected pick. At the end Lopez went from being the future big man to getting outplayed by Gortat.

Robin Lopez will be heading into his 14th season... not too shabby and he was the 15th pick.

He has averaged 8.8 points and 5 rebounds for his career.

I'd take him back.

For anyone wanting to gamble his injuries are in the past, Zach Collins will become a free agent.

FYI, not good news on the Noel and Olynyk fronts:

I am getting very worried that James Jones is going to ignore our biggest need a third time and just hope our team wins by shooting over 60% every game (which is what it would take, given our lack of size, strength, toughness, interior defense, rim protection and rebounding).

He's not. He will sign somebody, Sarver said getting bigger is our number 1 priority.

I would take him as the second big for the minimum, but would not be interested otherwise.

Many projected him to be the future big man of the franchise. He lost his starting job and got outplayed by Gortat. The fact is, when he came into the league big men were at a premium and the league still pays for size. He has lasted this long which isn't nothing but he disappointed here and never lived up to his potential. His brother ended up being the better player.

Take him back? That makes one of us.

Gortat had a nice career. Big men often develop later.

I'm guessing you know where Dragic and Gortat were drafted, 45 and 57 respectively.

Suns could have used Lopez against the Bucks.

Zach Collins is very intriguing if he can stay healthy. Agree, he is a minimum contract player.

Lopez was a better defender than Gortat but struggled offensively, still does. He brings interior D and rebounding but he won't give you much more than that. Gortat didn't improve all that much as a srarter either but he was more likely to give you 10-15 points than Robin was. That was also over 10 years ago and Robin was new to the league while Gortat had years of professional experience in Europe already so of course he was better than Robin.

I'd gladly bring Robin back as a backup to Ayton so long as its a cheap deal.

For those interested in Willie Cauley-Stein, Dallas picks up the option.

Doubtful. His habit of disappearing has stuck with him his entire career.

Chris Paul to become an unrestricted free agent but there is optimism towards his re-signing with Suns.

Kawhi Leonard to become an unrestricted free agent but the expectation is for him to stay with the Clippers.

Except that the one name that keeps coming up, illogically in my opinion, is McDermott. Unless there was some truth to it, why would a name that otherwise really isn't a fit at all keep coming up in connection with the Suns and their MLE?

Is Bobby Portis going to get more than the MLE? If not he is the Suns best choice at PF
