Opening night against Columbus was probably the worst matchup that any team could have had in opening night. Everybody knows that the Coyotes are on a rebuild. Probably everybody knew that they were going to lose but didn't expect them to lose that badly.
Columbus had a very emotional night honoring the life of Kivlenieks and it seemed that every bounce went their way. They could have played Gretzky's old Edmonton or Bossy's old Islanders teamsv and probably would have won
The good news it seems that the Coyotes have shaken that off which is encouraging.
