He kinda reminds me of Markus Golden. Why did we let Golden walk?

Where does this comparison keep coming from? He has like 2 inches and 25 lbs on Golden and projects to the line and not OLB. Allen is stronger but not as quick as Golden.

I dont get it. They are very different players.

Both are more effort guys, yes, but their build and ideal NFL positions are different.

Allen is probably going to gain weight and be around 290+ in a year or two.

I'm excited about getting him.

Me too!

The comp when I watch Allen play is (and don’t laugh)... A slightly less athletic JJ Watt

Just look at the college stats!

You don't get double digit sacks with out "any quickness", that's just nonsense.

Golden timed better at the combine than Allen, Allen put up more on the bench...hence my statement.

Because you pay Golden to sack the QB. And outside of one season, he's put up below average sack numbers.

Terrell Suggs was Golden's replacement. Hall of Famer vs. guy who might be out of the league in a year or two.

Different players really. It's like comparing Murray and Rosen.

I think the comparison is position, slightly less athletic than top players at the position, high motor.

most of golden sacks were coverage sacks or cause they doubled Jones

10 yards split and in the 3 cone drill Allen was better then Golden
