If we trade down I hope we take a chance on Beringer or Essengue. Maybe Newell.

If Sarver wasn't intending to replace McDonough, that is who he reportedly wanted, but I'm sure you have heard that.

Then, despite all his drafting mistakes, we would be talking about what a great GM he is, drafting Booker and Shai.
This has just been on my mind for a long time: Ryan McDonough should never have been Suns GM in the first place. Why not? Because anyone with dignity should have immediately quit in outrage upon finding out that his boss, Sarver, had sent in goats to trash his office. Again, ever since I heard of it, I asked myself why McDonough tolerated that. If McDonough had been desperate for a job, needed the money, why didn't he stay with the Celtics?

Not Carter Bryant

Not at 10, I don't get the hype for him as a top 10 guy, even as a wildcat fan.

He is so raw when it comes to NBA level skills and I don't know how he hones them coming out this early.

I doubt it, he bungled so many drafts, even a young Booker and Shai don't turn that team around for a few years and he is gone well before those players mature.

Furthermore, instead of Shai we drafted Bridges, which currently goes down as his 2nd best pick.

Funny two U of A guys? Bryant is smart and a hard worker he will be good. His draft jumped because his defense on Flag in the final four. Flag scored but Bryant showed he could play with him in the future.

I feel the same way. Obviously NBA scouts see something, but it's hard for me to accept NBA projections when the player isn't doing it at the college level. His hype is about projection. It may come to fruition, but it concerns me.

Brunson was pick #33. He was projected as a back-up and was thought to have a low ceiling. Suns picked Okobo at #31. If you want to say we should have picked Brunson at #31, I agree, but he wasn't sniffing the lottery where the Suns were picking in the first round in 2018.
Yes, of course we mean Brunson instead of Okobo, that was the 2 pg we were considering with that pick.

Asa Newell doesn't look too bad. Reminds me of Aaron Gordon.

I like Fleming too.

Feels like 2 picks in the 15-25 range might be better than the #10

I feel the same, hoping for a lot of trade activity but I'm sure I'll be disappointed.

Yes, Chriss and Bender were drafted mostly on projection.

Ryan McDonough was promoted to GM with the Suns. That's a reason for coming to Phoenix.

I'm liking Sorber and Murray Boyles at 10. I could be convinced of just about anyone in that range though aside from Jase.

They both fit the bill. Sorber is a load. There are some other big men I like if the Suns trade down.

I like Thiero later in the draft.

Carter Bryant is the last thing we need right now.
I don't really agree. Not saying I necessarily want to draft him but

We need someone with upside. This team is not going to be good, we need to build for the future.

For some reason, he reminds me a bit of Kevin Knox.

I think there are other players that better fit the Suns needs.

It’s a good comp. I’ve watched a lot of Carter and he doesn’t understand the game of basketball.

I'm presently locked onto Thomas Sorber. I hope he is there at #10 if the Suns do not trade down. However, I'd need to know more about his injury.

Any thoughts?
