Agree. That's a firm passIf he is a friend of Kyler that is a good reason to not hire him.

No one is talking about hiring Aaron Glenn. In fact the Cardinals turned him down before hiring Gannon, and he the Jets just hired him 9 months ago.If he is a friend of Kyler that is a good reason to not hire him.
Oooo...yeah....in that context we definitely need to leverage that relationship. No one is talking about hiring Aaron Glenn. In fact the Cardinals turned him down before hiring Gannon, and he the Jets just hired him 9 months ago.
@SoonerLou brought up his name in the context of the Jets being a potential destination for trading away Murray.
Yes, but that is a self inflicted barrier, and not an actual one.The Bidwill family are not paying Kyler $57 million not to play football. Michael choked on paying Colt McCoy $2.25MM guaranteed.
What’s the difference if it leads to the same outcome?Yes, but that is a self inflicted barrier, and not an actual one.
Well, if something wouldn't be an issue for the majority of the league, that doesn't make it prohibitive. The Cardinals acting like a poverty franchise is on the Cardinals and the Cardinals alone. It was never ok for the Cardinals to force draft picks to hold out every year because they didn't have the cash flow to pay the bonus. That was similarly a self inflicted issue. What’s the difference if it leads to the same outcome?
I don't think there are statistics about those things. It is mostly about staying updated with what is going on.Do you have a source on “most”?
Wrong on the specifics not on the facts. The fact remains that the Cards would owe Kyler money in 2026 if they cut him, which is the biggest obstacle.I don't think there are statistics about those things. It is mostly about staying updated with what is going on.
By the way, don't you see the irony in you wanting sources right after you have admitted that you were wrong about a factual question?
And if they owed him 1 dollar, I guess you think you would still be right. Further, you keep making arguments that you have absolutely zero proof of or knowledge about, but still state them as facts. It is laughable that you cannot see the irony, but you do you. It's cool.Wrong on the specifics not on the facts. You’re trying to hand-wave this away, but if Kyler is cut and is getting an eight-figure payday regardless, he’s not going to take a Justin Fields deal.
The only place he should be going is the bench. I wouldn't mind seeing Jacoby for the second half next week if Kyler continues to play scared and be a check down Charlie.Stop…Kyler isn’t going anywhere.
He is after this season. I have to believe that for my frickin' sanity.Stop…Kyler isn’t going anywhere.

Trade him for a six pack that doesn't even have to be cold. Getting anything back for him so we clear him out and start over at the position is worth taking low trade return.Given his contract, him being on the roster next year is still pretty likely. We aren't going to cut him and who is gunna trade for him?

After this year, clearly. If Kyler is never getting you back to the playoffs, let alone winning in the playoffs, why roll it back for another year? Just a waste. The only real question is what would be the replacement and if it would be better after this year or next to make that move. Assuming JG/Monti get another chance.
This is the big questionDo we trust Monti to get a good QB? God no, but Monti we are stuck with, sadly.
I trust Monti just as much or more than I trusted keim. After this year, clearly. If Kyler is never getting you back to the playoffs, let alone winning in the playoffs, why roll it back for another year? Just a waste.
The replacement question is separate from KM. One doesn't impact the other. Do we trust Monti to get a good QB? God no, but Monti we are stuck with, sadly.
Every trade pitch should come with a DVD of his 2021 season.KM is worth a 1st, to the right team (Jets). There's got to be a handful of teams that see KM as a product of his environment, and that he can excel with a change of scenery.
When this season ends below .500 again, who do you think is pinning their career and job on another year of Kyler? Monti isn't going to blame his drafts and FAs, and Gannon isn't going to blame the defense. Regardless of % of blame, it seems weird to bring in ANOTHER OC to work with Kyler in a make or break year. Especially when the QB. WR and OL coaches will be scrutinized after the season as well.Stop…Kyler isn’t going anywhere.
Exactly this are all the qbs picked after Clayton Tune UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson (No. 140, Browns), Penn State’s Sean Clifford (No. 149, Packers), BYU’s Jaren Hall (No. 164, Vikings), Stanford’s Tanner McKee (No. 188, Eagles) and TCU’s Max Duggan (No. 239, Chargers). It was crapshoot maybe Tanner Mckee is something.I trust Monti just as much or more than I trusted keim.
Sometimes a GM can be bad at picking some positions and good at picking others. Monti could well pull the best qb in the draft with the 18th pick. We just won't know until we know on that front.
This year would be a good time. There are lots of good prospects. Due to that some of them will opt to wait until next year to avoid the crowd..which means we should have back to back decent qb drafts.
So take a swing...our team is in pretty good position for a rookie...
But be prepared to swing again in 27 if after next season you ain't totally sold on your 26 pick.
Just like we did with Rosen and Murray if we have to.
We won't be picking top 5 either year most likely...so just be prepared to double down.
Gotta hit on a guy sooner or later
What has Monti done so far to earn the benefit of the doubt from you?Exactly this are all the qbs picked after Clayton Tune UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson (No. 140, Browns), Penn State’s Sean Clifford (No. 149, Packers), BYU’s Jaren Hall (No. 164, Vikings), Stanford’s Tanner McKee (No. 188, Eagles) and TCU’s Max Duggan (No. 239, Chargers). Let's see what Monti does with ability to pick 1st rd qb before judging his ability to draft a qb.
