Trade him for Daniels or Mayfield. He is ranked higher than them.
I would take Baker in a hot minute... dude is a competitor.

Honestly?? Might be crazy but I would offer Tampa Kyler and a 2nd for Mayfield...
He ain't technically "that much" better than kyler... but the dude has brass balls and plays to win. That mindset is contagious and would affect our entire offense.

Nah. He’s on a three-year deal, and he’s not elite. If he were that good, why would the Cards be trying to unload him?

Maybe for a team with a pick in the mid 20s, but are they gonna have the cap space to accommodate a $40 cap charge?
Not sure if it was a typo, but you said why would the Cards be trying to unload him. And I'm wondering if you meant to say why would Cards FANS be trying to unload him?

Choose. Before you said Murray and a third for Murray. Now you are opening up to any first-round pick below #12.
Both. Delusional fans are saying the Jets would trade their likely top 12 pick for Kyler. That’s crazy town.

Maybe you could package Kyler and a third for a low first round pick if he stays healthy and plays mid this year.

The '26 QB class looks like hot garbage. I could see a team giving up a pick in the teens for KM.

Michael isn’t paying Kyler Murray $38 million not to play football in 2026. That’s not accounting for paid bonus money—it’s guaranteed salary and roster bonus to be paid.

The only way to move off him is to trade him. Maybe you could trade him and a third for a second.
Trade him for a six pack, and it doesn't even have to be cold ;)

1 – Time to begin keeping up with draft position.

2 – It is a public secret that Michael Bidwill wants to be involved in the football operations. I wonder if he will demand that Petzing goes – simply because a dysfunctional, non-entertaining offense is not in his financial interest.

3 – I think that Marvin Harrison is a fine #3. Now they only need a #1 and #2.

4 – I want to give credit when it is warranted: Darius Robinson showed up.

5 – If Hjalte Froholdt does not affect the Seahawks-player on that fumble after the interception (with the biggest block in the back in NFL history, but still), that guy doesn’t knock the ball out of his own teammates’ hands. Great play.

6 – If Baron Browning was better at finishing, he would be a stud.

7 – At some point during the season Isaiah Adams will get Murray decapitated.

8 – Kei'Trel Clark is shutting up some people, including me. He has played well after being forced into action.

9 – Dalvin Tomlinson is severely underrated.

10 – Jonah Williams is simply a bad player. Point blank period.
So your saying the right side of the Oline is bad?

As always nice post Ghandi. I would add kudos to Mack Wilson.
And DeMercado needs to see a lot more playing time.
Yeah, fully agree. DeMercado has really impressed me. Proved me wrong for sure.

You dont trade for Baker just to put him in the offense that had Cleveland thinking he was no good.

Was counting JJ McCarthy outright bombing, but the Jets make more sense. Glenn was a mentor to Kyler.

Maybe if another team overpays Daniel Jones we can reach out to the Colts.

I can agree with that purely on principle.
But I do think that even in this offense Baker makes us better...mostly just because he ain't afraid to let it rip
It was obvious to all outside Cleveland that Baker wasn't the problem. But he has also matured and grown his game since leaving the Browns.

If he is cut, the dead money-hit will go from 98 million this year to only 57 next year, and they will actually save more than 2.5 million in actual money. That is absolutely doable, and if they make it a June 1-designation, they can even split that cap hit over several years.

If traded, the dead money-hit in 2026 would only be 18 million.

Salary cap space doesn’t really matter nowadays, but you still cannot cross the limits of the cap. Which is why it is important that the Cards’ salary cap space would go up from 14 million to 50 million in 2026 by trading Murray.

It is certainly possible to get out of the contract after this season, and even moreso if you have a rookie quarterback.

Murray's cut / trade year (2027) is next year when his dead cap is 7 million. 2026 dead cap is 57 million.

Kyler Murray's cap hit next year is tied for #12. His salary isn't the problem.

This is how they wil create salary space next year:

James Conner is gone. 10 million cap hit or 2 million in dead cap
Justin Jones is gone. 12 million cap hit or 3.25 million in dead cap
Sean Murphy Bunting is gone. 9 million in cap hit or a 2 million dead cap

Basically they can just clean up a ton of Ossenfort's bad FA choices who are injured or suck and they can hve whatever cap space they like.

BTW Ossenfort sucks so much that Jonah Williams carries the 14th highest cap hit for us and is a FA.

But yes they absolutely should draft a rookie QB.
