sure man - why factor in anything else - like us not knowing how many passing yards he'll get - how love will be featured or if benson or anyone else also shows out allowing us to distribute the workloadBeing 17th in rushing yards would be a flop for the #3 overall pick in the draft.
When you draft a RB at 3 which immediately makes him a top 10 paid Rb...production has to come immediately regardless of circumstance. It's an unfortunate reality. Top 10 in total yards for RBs is also an acceptable metric as it does account for usage in the pass game for a more "all purpose" RB role which he should have.sure man - why factor in anything else - like us not knowing how many passing yards he'll get - how love will be featured or if benson or anyone else also shows out allowing us to distribute the workload
it's all good lol - just be sure to leave yourself that wiggle room maestro - don't go on record and make any bold predictions like you used to - i miss that k9 tbh

If Love has a season like Jahmyr Gibbs' rookie season while sharing the workload with Allgeier et al., and shows the same kind of promise and ability that Gibbs showed in his rookie season when he put up 945 rushing and 316 receiving yards and 11 TDs, I'll be pretty satisfied. When you draft a RB at 3 which immediately makes him a top 10 paid Rb...production has to come immediately regardless of circumstance. I guess if you’re a love fan and not a Cardinals fan that would be satisfying.
Gibbs was 17th in rushing yards, 5th in y/a @ 5.2, was voted to the Pro Bowl, and showed off the potential that he proved in the following two seasons with 1800-1900+ yards from scrimmage and 18-20 TDs as Montgomery's usage tapered off.
Is any rookie who fails to hit his full potential in his first year a "flop"? What are the consequences if the Cardinals fail to make maximally efficient use of <5% of the salary cap this season? Do you think that will derail their Super Bowl hopes?
Homemade popcorn ballsAhh, I bet you give out raisons on Halloween...![]()
in what was dubbed a terrible draft, if your rookie RB makes the Pro Bowl, I think you'd call that a successful rookie season, even at the 3rd pick.I guess if you’re a love fan and not a Cardinals fan that would be satisfying.
Gibbs was drafted 12th overall. We should expect more from a guy who was selected nine spots higher?
We should expect OROY honors.
Fair. But the probably won’t make the pro bowl in the NFC with those numbers unless there are a bunch of people who drop out.in what was dubbed a terrible draft, if your rookie RB makes the Pro Bowl, I think you'd call that a successful rookie season, even at the 3rd pick.
Keep in mind, Fantasy players is that we have a three headed running threat.Being 17th in rushing yards would be a flop for the #3 overall pick in the draft.
Disagree. If he isn't a 65%-75% usage guy out of the gate, it wasting a year for a player at a position where you are not getting any positional savings, and at a position which has an inherently shorter lifespan. Just need to go all gas, no brakes and run this dude into the ground.

I think 75% usage should be the minimum benchmark. If he can’t immediately beat out Allgeier, zombie Conner, and Trey Benson it’s a real bad sign.Disagree. Gibbs averaged over 5 YPC and scored 11 TD’s. More important than basic dashboard stats or draft position he looked like a stud that belonged. If J-Love does that at 21 years old we will be happy.I guess if you’re a love fan and not a Cardinals fan that would be satisfying.

Gibbs rookie deal has an average value of 4.46 mil per year. Love's is 13.25 per year. It seems silly to hold them to the same standard. Top 10 total yards. I don't really care how efficient he is. TDs, I will work with him as IDK what his opportunities look like. If he loses out on short yardage all year long, it's gonna be a bad look.Gibbs averaged over 5 YPC and scored 11 TD’s. You can worry about his salary. I like the Gibbs’ arc which is a star by year two. 2Gibbs rookie deal has an average value of 4.46 mil per year. Love's is 13.25 per year. freakin hippieI don't like wasting resources
Maybe you should be carping more about us sitting on the 40 million in cap space then finding reasons why you're not going to like the pick unless Love plays like a superstar right out of the gate.I don't like wasting resources
I think it’s so understood that MHJ is a profound disappointment that we don’t bother talking about it. No one here is like “MHJ is gonna get 1200 yards this season BOOK IT.”Maybe you should be carping more about us sitting on the 40 million in cap space then finding reasons why you're not going to like the pick unless Love plays like a superstar right out of the gate.
man... I get bashing Monty unmercifully, but correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember you destroying Marvin Harrison for not living up to his draft capital in any of the seasons he's played so far. In fact, most of the time, you make excuse after excuse after excuse for him.
maybe now, but no one was talking that way before he ever hit the field and Chopper was still blaming his drops on everyone but Harrison deep into last season.I think it’s so understood that MHJ is a profound disappointment that we don’t bother talking about it. Im pretty sure that’s because WR is a premium position and even with an 800 yard rookie season he was providing excess value? I may be wrong tho.maybe now, but no one was talking that way before he ever hit the field and Chopper was still blaming his drops on everyone but Harrison deep into last season.
What difference does it make if the Cards get 47.5% of scrimmage yards from Love, 42.5% from Allgeier, and 10% from Conner/Benson, similar to the Lions with Gibbs, Montgomery et al. when they went 12-5 in 2023; or if they hit your magic range with 66.5% from Love, 32.8% from Allgeier, and 0.7% from Conner/Benson as the Lions did when they went 9-7 in 2025?Disagree. lol you can’t do this but it’s what dopes always say when they’re out of factsIf anything, it seems better to "save a year" of his short career
Ah, come on dude. Statistically speaking, I'm sure this is an unwarranted response.lol you can’t do this but it’s what dopes always say when they’re out of facts
