Best deep ball in the league! Or at least that's what he said...
It was the summer of 1977, my best friend and I just graduated from Thunderbird High School. We took a trip to California...dropped by La Jolla's nude beach...there were several interesting things to be seen but while we were walking down the beach, we walked by some guy laying on his stomach and his "deep balls" were just short of his knees....what makes me laugh today is, what the hell happened when he hit his 50's..........WAIT....maybe that's how Soccer was invented.....LOL...OUCH

1977? I was nine then. Were nude beaches really a thing? That's some swinger stuff literally.

The name sounds familiar; did he also coach the varsity golf team? Short, older guy? If so, he was my golf coach but he never showed up. He sent us to Moon Valley golf course and Bellair. Maybe my football coach???
I actually had a very young, pretty female science teacher, can't remember her name...I didn't learn anything....too busy being a teenage boy. LOL
Now my brain is spinning trying to remember 50 yrs ago.

What's ironic is, my 16-yr old granddaughter is currently going to Tbird

I was there in 84 and had Mr Dixon for history and he was the guy that was blind in one eye and had a patch on his glasses. From what I remember he was there a long time before I got there.
