Kyle Kuzma has criticised the WNBA amid the ongoing debate about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.
The controversy started when Sophie Cunningham said that transgender women should not play alongside biological women.
Cunningham has since received both praise and criticism for her stance, which has become the hottest topic in the WNBA.
WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert has now informed teams that a task force will assess the situation over the coming weeks.
NBA player Kyle Kuzma has slammed the WNBA for overcomplicating what he sees as a straightforward question.

Kyle Kuzma’s message as the WNBA prepares to discuss transgender athlete participation
Kuzma has publicly taken Cunningham’s side in the debate, as he believes the WNBA should be strictly for biological women.
The Milwaukee Bucks forward cannot believe the WNBA wants to discuss the issue further rather than addressing it bluntly.
“Thirty years of women fighting to get this league built, and the question on the table this week is what a woman is,” he wrote.
“Needing a committee to find that answer is a disservice to every girl who was told this league was for her.”
The statement follows former NBA stars Enes Kanter and Royce White declaring for next year’s WNBA Draft.
The league has probably been forced into an awkward position, where it will have to draw clear lines on WNBA eligibility.
