New York Knicks forward Josh Hart was reminded of the cultural impact of their 2026 championship win after glancing at the list for ‘celebrity row’ during Game 4 at MSG.

The Knicks’ championship run brought some of the biggest celebrities in the world of entertainment to Madison Square Garden, as everyone wanted to be in the building to watch New York finally win an NBA title.

With the title triumph nearly two months in the rearview mirror, Hart was reminiscing on the incredible energy that surrounded the franchise and the city at the time.

Josh Hart brags about Knicks’ celebrity row with Game 4 list

After a list of MSG’s official celebrity row list for Game 4 of the Finals circulated on the internet, Hart shared the same with a simple message about the popularity of basketball and the NBA, claiming no other sport could replicate that.

“No other place in the NBA can have a list like this. They are actual fans and celebrate like it.”

Outside of the NFL’s Super Bowl, Hart is not wrong. Even past NBA Finals series have never attracted so much star power.

Only the Knicks or Lakers can get so many A-List celebrities to actively attend playoff games. The difference with the Knicks was that this was their first title run in over 50 years, sweeping the city into the madness as compared to LA celebrities, who take titles for granted over the last three decades.

The Knicks captured lightning in a bottle, and another title run also might not bring out as many stars as the 2026 run did. Nonetheless, it was an amazing run.

Who were the biggest celebrities to attend the Knicks’ NBA Finals series?

Game 4 of the NBA Finals saw an incredible turnout with the likes of Taylor Swift, Timothee Chalamet, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller,Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Chris Rock, Kylie Jenner, Whoopi Goldberg, Cardi B, and many more.

Knicks superfans like Mariska Hargitay, Fat Joe, Tracy Morgan, and others were also regularly present in their courtside seats for most of the Playoff run, especially the NBA Finals.

Arguably, the biggest ‘celebrity’ came for Game 3, as the Knicks and MSG welcomed President Donald Trump in attendance, becoming the first sitting President to attend an NBA Finals game.

Unfortunately, that wound up being the only game of the series the Knicks lost, eliminating the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 and securing the title.
