If he was Parsons, then he wouldnt have slipped so far.
I’m not sure that translates either. did he really slip? He’s still a top five pick… Parsons wasn’t drafted until number 12…. Nobody knew Parsons was gonna be as good as he was when they drafted him. Same with Reese. Time will tell.

Seems like Micah Parsons was drafted 12th overall?
But im saying if teams saw Parsons or any other elite pass rusher, he wouldve been taken by us or the Jets. Specifically the Jets.

I didn't get a chance to really chime in on this because I had people over at the house, but I'm stoked.

We have a dynamic player. It's a huge deal. We have an offensive coach. I don't mind trying to move picks for an RT. Let's do it.
I think the best move is to just ignore RT for now and hope the rest of the line is good enough. There aren't any RTs left that you would want to draft before day 3. Maybe Christian Jones has developed into something servicable?

This was the second biggest F up my monti aside from totally butchering the QB situation. He should have aggressively pursued even if it took a trade to upgrade the RT position in FA

At least with the love pick - this offense has an identity again aside from garbage Jacoby stat padding in a 4th quarter blow out
Imagine improving the line and getting some good running backs to help whoever the QB is this season. Big improvements right there.

Yeah, I would have. Not that I would have been all happy about that either. But I think he's much more likely to be a solid starter for 5 to 10 years. RBs are just too high risk with health. IMHO.
Who, Styles? The guy our resident OSU guy thinks can't tackle? No freaking thanks.

Too bad who ever is the RB will have to help block their blindside.
OMG, the timing of this post is priceless. I just made fun of the fact that people whined we wouldn't have a RT in place A YEAR EARLY for the QBOF right before reading this post. Thank you so much for the comedic timing :)

Really??
So your saying you don't think we can put together a team in the next 5 to 7 years?

If that's the case it doesn't really matter who we draft, does it?

So we might as well bring in some excitement
Too long for a RB

lol he will be on his back
I forgot it was an NFL rule that you have to have a RT in place a year before you draft a QBOF. Damn, I hate that we're banned from trading for a RT next season, let alone signing one in FA or drafting one next year. Tough rule for us! :sarcasm:

I like Love. He’s a fine RB, though I think slightly overrated in a very thin pool. It’s a lot of money on a marginally impactful position. He’s a breakaway threat, but I’ll be curious to see how many of those he actually makes. Running to the right should be interesting. Any pick at that point was a bit of a gamble and in this case he impacts the cap for a long time. I mentioned McCaffrey before the draft. There are some similarities but think how much time he’s missed. He was the 8th pick in his draft. There’s a $25 mil difference in cap impact from 3rd to 8th. I don’t think Love is quite McCaffrey good, but Love is a multi-aspect threat. MLF’s system is a good fit as I noted before the draft. I hope his supporters are right and he’s fun to watch. Durability and the significant Cardinal weaknesses still make me wonder how big his impact will be.

Fair, Harry. I just can't think of any other way this draft would have fallen in our favor otherwise. Trades back would have been disastrous.

It's more than I'd ideally like to commit to an RB, but I'm excited to give MLF a major weapon.
