Suns @ Bucks Tuesday Finals game thread 7-20-2021 - Game 6

I had to stop by one time to share my frustration.

    Paul: All-Star; no Book

That's a good thought, Ouchie. I'll think about it. Luckily, as I looked at the unread posts, I opened yours. Ironically, after being at the computer for a while, I just covered each eye in reading the small print here. The left eye was blurred. The right eye was also not very clear. But when...

    Paul: All-Star; no Book

Thanks. As I mentioned, it's an eye problem. I peruse the topics every few days and post occasionally. I can no longer watch the Suns, Mercury (when on) or D-backs, but I do check the box scores. And I balance that with a few concerts, mystery shows and documentaries on PBS and a Turner...

    Anti-lift

Alex Verdugo of the Red Sox suggests that baseball change its philosophy of home runs or strikeouts, to make the game less boring. I am so glad to see that! I have advocated that every player's go-to swing should be line drives to the gaps in left-center or right-center. With a selective home...

    Paul: All-Star; no Book

I'm glad to see Book named an injury replacement (for the second straight year). I had read that he'd be #2 to be chosen. My main point was not about the Suns having two All Stars being named initially. It was about the difficulty of the Suns having two Guards being named.

    Paul: All-Star; no Book

I suggest that both the Suns and Devin Booker did himself in as an All Star selection. With 30 NBA teams (60 starting Guards) and four All Star Guard positions available, does anyone think that the Suns should have two of the four out of 60? When we added Chris Paul to our backcourt, it...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2020-21 season

After following the Suns for a half-century, I finally stop watching their games (because of eye problems) and they then start playing like one of the best teams in the league. They didn't even play that way this season 'til I had to stop watching. Now I check the final results and review...

    Off season news and stuff.

What a great trade for the Mercury. Featuring the acquisition of All Star Kia Nurse from the Liberty. We never know when Diana might decide to retire. It's nice to have another All Star on the team.

    2020-21 Around the NBA Thread

You didn't respond with a comment about the article I referenced. Which stated specifically . . . the pilot's pressure to perform for a high-profile client (by flying into heavy fog and a hillside for a meaningless basketball game). You can try to blame me all you want, but the obsession was...

    2020-21 Around the NBA Thread

When I read recent articles, I was curious to see if there would be a comment here. As you know, I was critical of Kobe's involvement in the crash. This article cites the pilot's "pressure to perform for a high-profile client". If Kobe, sitting in the cockpit in the co-pilot's chair said...

    Griner has left the wubble

Brittney's condition has been explained now as mental issues. I am happy that she has gotten help, emotionally, as well as getting herself into top playing condition. Interesting point how the bubble, and its confinement, has played a negative role in players' lives. They're the ones we read...

    2020-21 Around the NBA Thread

"I am starting to think you’re just trolling and bored in your old age." We live in the time of the big lie. Sad! Although I am not leaving for that reason, as I've explained, I am not going to miss that.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, JC.

    I apologize!

Movies and car trips, especially to visit family and friends are no problem. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 threat has curtailed both of these activities. It's not how I envisioned my golden years. But we are all inconvenienced! I do take drives once in awhile (not a challenge to my vision), but...
