The Phoenix Mercury acquired forwards Kia Nurse and Megan Walker from the New York Liberty on Wednesday, trading away 2021 (No. 6 overall) and 2022 first-round draft picks.
The 6-foot Nurse, going into her fourth season, is expected to contend for starting small forward in a lineup that also would include Diana Taurasi, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Brittney Griner and Brianna Turner.
