rare occasion I'll play the role of Stout in a thread... no desire to watch this. thought the show ran it's course and this just feels like a cash grab for people who couldn't find the next big thing.

So far so good. I was a little worried with the show being resurrected that it was going to lose the old magic. The episode's ending is pretty much what I figured was being setup.
And from the art imitating life department, half the episode felt like the World Cup visiting the US experience videos. It's funny how they pretty much nailed all of the same points the food, niceness, stadium, etc. as the videos. This had to have been written and filmed long before them.

2nd episode was back to the old magic. Really good, as always.
Yeah, another good episode. Roy's locker room modifications were great. I hope they don't over do it with the twins all season though.
And Keeley's wondering eyes!

I think the whole...well, spoilers...
The whole Rebecca feminist subplot was lame, as was lunch with her mother. Also, It should've taken at least another episode for Ted to win over the assistant coach. Just way too easy.
I will take all the Ted Lasso I can get, though.

Was bugging me the entire episode, but I couldn't pinpoint who Coach Stick Up Her Butt was until the very end... she's the one who drew crazy porn in Sex Education! Love that actress. Pretty good range there.

I think she's fantastic. They could have made her just one-dimensional, and that's what I thought was going to happen, but she has enormous range -- her interactions with coaches and Rebecca were polar opposites of her interactions with the players. And they did a good job of pretty much describing her entire history at the end of the episode as a former player who was incredibly and tragically injured.
She reminds me of someone else too and I can't put my finger on. It's been bugging me. I haven't seen Sex Education and nothing else in here IMDB listing is familiar to me. So I think there's something else about her too. Hopefully it'll come to me. I'm liking her as the assistant coach and the back story they gave the character.
