Very excited to see how they play this year with a (hopefully) solid PF. Not Amaré size, but pretty athletic and with some inside game it looks like. How far do we have to go back to find a better 4/PF on the Suns?

I think you answered your own question. Amare. I know he technically played center for us but he was a prototypical power forward. And a highly aggressive one at that.

I sure hope so, that list shows just how bad our PF's have been. It's been 10-12 years since Fry or Morris played for the suns.

Crowder and Saric played here, 2021 and 2022 and neither averaged more than 10ppg.

Yeah, two of our big swing and miss targets. I really thought each of them was going to be the answer for us but neither lived up to our expectations.

Wayman Tisdale was old but he was legit. Rodney Rodgers played some PF here also. Clifford Robinson deserves some recognition. Sadly all 3 passed on too young.

Yup, that's about the size of it since Amare. Yikes! Bridges actually is the best player at that position for the Suns for well over a decade, even if his qualifications as a "true" PF are somewhat suspect.

Is he though? He's not much of a defender, he doesn't rebound well (if we're calling him a PF), he isn't a good shooter.

So far in his career he's a guy who has put up stats on terrible teams. He's Jeremi Grant but without the outside shooting.

Maybe the change of scenery will do him good, but I am hesitant to crown him when, outside of relatively inefficient scoring, he's not done anything in his career.

Not disagreeing. Just emphasizing how pathetic the PF position has been for the Suns for the better part of 15 years.

Neither of us has seen him play with the starters. His defense has to be decent to put him above Jae Crowder. Offensively he looks better. I'm optimistic that a change of teams and contract year does him good. Most of these NBA players have a strong competitive spirit. Some more extreme, like Mike, Jalen Brunson, Kobe Bryant, etc. Hope Bridges is not too much of a coaster. How will the chemistry between him and DTV be?

Bridges needed a change of scenery, he is motivated, has something to prove and is playing for a new contract.

Instead, the key is depth. I’m hoping to see a versatile rotation featuring Miles Bridges, Rasheer Fleming, and Koa Peat mixing it up at the four and even sliding down to small-ball center.

To really excel, they’ll need solid, reliable contributors at both spots, not just one player.

Koa is not going to play this year he was not a top ten pick. To much dreaming. Bridges is the real deal

I do want to say Trunk was really good. That tells you how good the others were good
