Official Kyler Murray career thread.... (post Cardinals/Vikes)

We traded for Hopkins, we traded a 1st for his bestest buddy "Hollywood", we drafted a great tight end, we drafted PJJ for Kyler (missing out on one of the best defenders in the league), we drafted Wilson, who Kyler seemingly didn't know existed and now looks GREAT with Kyler out of the equation.

The idea that we failed to give Kyler any weapons is a complete joke. Ever since that Green Bay game in 21, he's been a gutless, check down QB who bails on plays and doesn't go through his progressions.

Not to mention how much McBride exploded without him and seemingly couldn't score a TD with him.

Who knows, maybe Rondale Moore didn’t stink. Kyler couldn’t see Wilson out there and Moore is half the size.

Andy Isabella..? Nah, who am I kidding, he stunk.

Baltimore promised him a brand new stadium & a crazed fan base. Instead, the dumb a$$ moves to AZ, with NO indoor stadium & a fan base made up of transients from cold weather cities. Until Michael dies or sells this team, there is ZERO chance of seeing consistent success here. Murray was NEVER the problem & Minnesota’s success this year will make the Bidwills look like fools AGAIN!

i'd forgotten about losing Bobby Moore/Ahmad Rashad over money.

Also if memory serves the very first NFL free agent to sign with a new team was CB Norm Thompson who left the Cards.

There are so many what ifs in Cards history, if Lomax doesn't hurt his hip, ifwe draft Lipps instead of Duncan, if Hearst didn't hurt his knee, if Wadsworth and Swann didn't get hurt etc, but IMO the biggest what if is if Bidwill was smart enough to keep Coryell as coach.

All true. Bidwill didn’t draft Lipps because he didn’t want to pay for a legit 1st round WR. Duncan was in no way a first rounder, and was completely surprised by the selection, stating, “It was really a shock. I had no idea I would go in the first round.” Bidwill low balled him throughout their negotiations, and Duncan didn’t sign his contract until days before the season started. And that was normally the case with EVERY first round pick during the senior Bidwill era. It annoys me to no end that the NFL has allowed this Bidwill family to still own a franchise.

It really depends who you read. I just read an article that his direct quotes from McCown and guys on the Vikings. Their 4th string QB Brosner for example on a play where JJ completed a nice downfield throw, Brosner said he was thrilled that JJ only patted the ball once before letting it go said last year he would have done that twice. It was one of the big criticisms of him that he had mechanical issues that caused him to let the ball go late and screw up the timing on the play.
Then Brosner was calling out Murray for letting the ball go to Addison well before he got out of his break to complete a big play. It was apparent they were saying Brosner, an actual NFL QB, sees that JJ holds the ball too long and Murray isn't.

But McCown talked about how JJ has a great arm but needs to learn to layer the ball and they'e seeing growth there, Kylers challenge is what we all saw in Arizona, be on time in the system. They want him to be able to extend plays and mkae something out of nothing, but what they really want is him to do is be on time in the offense when the play is there take it

McCarthy per the article had better stats today but he was also taking the easier throws where Murray was taking the bigger shots that they want their QB to take.

I still expct Kyler to win the job, frankly if he doesn't not sure where he goes from there in that offense with those targets and that coach if he can't excel, where can he?
