You can argue it was on the harsh side. I agree. But it’s not like it wasn’t there.
It was a clear foul. the harsh part for me is how far back they went. I think some neutral players (well they were English so they do not like Argentina). But they made the point in how far does VAR go back to find a foul. in this case I think it was borderline because it was at the complete opposite end of the pitch, but it was a turnover gained on a clear foul. without the foul there would have been no goal. I didn't watch the game live, so I'm relying on replays online. I think I would have a better understanding of it if I watched it live.

⛔️ OFFICIAL: Jarell Quansah has been suspended by FIFA for the next two games.

Quansah was given red card during Mexico game, missing the quarter-final clash with Norway and a potential semi-final. ‍⚖️

Carli Lloyd laying down the truth. Pulisic really just wanting to save himself up for last year's club season, tbh.

I don’t owe anyone an apology. My comment wasn’t about his post game interview. He skipped Gold Cup last summer because he wanted to rest and be ready for WC. He ended up resting the whole year. That’s the facts. Nothing personal against him.

For all those that said, "He better be really hurt!" There you go.
that's the most brutal move i've seen in soccer - pulisic basically kicked a 200 pound pole as a hard as he could - dude just planted his foot in between the ball and pulisic while pulisic was winding up - is that super common move/defense in futbol?

Yup. There is his reason and not an excuse. Makes the whole "I need to rest for a major tournament" last year look even worse on him, though.
Did he say he gets to rest now when asked about his injury? I heard something like he said he would be ok and the injury doesn’t matter because he has time to rest. I’m trying to understand the context of his comment. Initially i thought it was a poor comment and talking about rest in general isn’t the best thing to bring up there.

As far as some of these analysts. I respect Carli Lloyd. She’s a champion and a fierce competitor. And she’s not wrong, pulisic needs to invest more into his national team career. She would know better than most. But I don’t think she can look at things from the same lens as these USA players who play in Europe at champions league teams. They play a lot of games and their money is made there, not with the national team like her career. Landon Donovan can’t relate either, even though he thinks that he’s similar because he had a bad 2006 WC. He played mostly in mls for his career and came nowhere close to maximizing his ability. If I were Christian pulisic I would not listen to them. But Christian and the rest of the players do need to put more effort into the national team. They need more playing time and development before the World Cup.

im rooting against belgium today - even though they made fun of trump

mother****ers broke pulisic's leg
I’m rooting for a Belgian and English final. It’s unlikely but not impossible. we probably get Argentina and France rematch. That wouldn’t be bad either because it makes for good theater but I don’t like either side. I don’t think the Swiss have it in them but if they upset Argentina I will root for them to beat everyone. Spain also rarely give up a lot of goals. If they force France into a 0-0 game it could be an upset.

Spain have now played six games at the 2026 World Cup.

Still no minutes for Premier League Golden Glove winner David Raya
