BIM must be on vacation because that's at least the third time I've seen re-signed but without the hyphen...LOL
Well, we were in Vegas to celebrate my birthday (June 4th) and Father's Day (June 21st) with my dad this past weekend. Then, at work, I basically had to tear down the technology at one site and move it to a different site, then reassemble much of it. So, it has felt like an ASFN absence to me, too. LOL

The offense showing they can sustain long drives will be the thing that helps this defense the most. They were usually gassed come the 4th quarter.
I think they were less gassed and more not talented. Just my opinion. Dalvin Tomlinson led the team in defensive snap % at 48%. Tough to argue guys are gassed when they are playing less than 70% of snaps in a game. I used 70% of snaps because Josh sweat didn't exceed 67.7% of snaps in any game last year. Calais never played more than 56.7% of snaps. Nolen only had 1 game over 56.5%.

That leaves you with a roster of DRob, Stills, Collins, Burch, and Browning...I don't know that people are viewing those players as good or impactful when it comes down to end of games. Maybe you disagree.

Yes % of snaps is a thing. So is total snaps. I will fully admit I haven't researched that but I recall the defense being on the field all the time

So then, of course, I had to look at the data. Pass attempts against + rush attempts against +defensive penalties committed.

Source of Data is not AI. It is Pro Football Reference.

The 5 worst and the number.

New York Jets
1133
Cincinnati Bengals
1075
Arizona Cardinals
1074
Washington Commanders
1071
Las Vegas Raiders

So league average was 951 the Cardinals as a team played 13% more snaps than an average defense. 50% of the defensive snaps on the Cardinals was 63% of the snaps on an average defense.

Compared to a top 5 total snaps like the Seahawks, it is a whopping 30% more total snaps. So a 50% defender on the Cardinals saw the same snaps as a guy who played 80% of the time on the Seahawks.

I believe my point is valid.

That’s 7.29 snaps per game. The percentages don’t really illuminate anything.

Sure but my overall point that an efficient offense that keeps this defense off the field is more likely to help the defense than say LJ Collier.
Okay but that’s not what the data bears out. This is just a qualitative argument.

Obviously upgrading from Roy Lopez to Byron Murphy would be superior. The Bengals had an extremely efficient offense and were still among the laggards in plays against.

Ok I was a Brissett fan for playing damn good for a back up last year. But I’m tired of this holdout lasting this long. I think I’d cut him and move on
