West Side Story and Lincoln were absolute bangers. So, safe to say last good movie Spielberg has directed was Munich?
No, I'd put Bridge of Spies, Ready Player One, and The Fabelmans all in the good category. So, safe to say last good movie Spielberg has directed was Munich?
Ready Player one??So, safe to say last good movie Spielberg has directed was Munich?
I loved RP1. It was great for anyone that grew up in the 80s and got most of the references. The race scene 10 minutes in is still my go-to to demo my home theater. Shakes the house with great Atmos and visuals.Ready Player one??
I know general pop didnt enjoy it as much as I did... but I thought it was great...and a flashback to the days when spielberg was the best in the business.
Agreed but By Spielberg standards his elite run ended in the mid-2000’s.West Side Story and Lincoln were absolute bangers.
Fableman’s got nominated for like 10 Oscars and was also very good.

Most of my problems stemmed from the first 45 minutes or so. The story was incoherent for most of that time, and the characters, one in particular, was doing things that made no sense.Yeahhhh… thus wasn’t it. I get the message but other than a good performance from Blunt and a fun train setpiece, I was pretty bored.
That first 45 was really a slog. Most of my problems stemmed from the first 45 minutes or so. The story was incoherent for most of that time, and the characters, one in particular, was doing things that made no sense.
That said, I thought it really picked up halfway through and I enjoyed it enough by the end. I admit I do have some Spielberg bias, but a bad Spielberg film is still better than a lot of movies made by lesser directors. But that's just me.
