He’s fine, but he’s not a leader or someone who’s especially connected to the team. He’s a weirdo with a nose ring.

Still productive and one of our two- or three-best defenders.
Wow you guys just scream Im old.

Zero reason to bash this dude or trade him. He was a fine performer last season and we don't have tons of talent on the dline.

Can we please stop trading or cutting good players thinking this will get us better?

Some of us actually want to watch a good team consistently in our lifetimes.

Until Sweat actually comes out and says he wants out of Arizona then I'll listen. It's the same articles I've been reading spitting that he "Maybe" might be unhappy. I can see that he liked Gannon who cares? I've liked gf's too it doesn't mean I'm ready to date them again.

I was excited when the Cardinals came out in free agency early last year and got him. But ya we won 3 games last year. Josh got a big contract so that should be some glue to keep him in Arizona.

I've been reading about what kind of pick the talking heads are throwing out there. A third rounder?

Josh is pushing 30 so he better be happy now or get what's probably going to happen if he does get traded. His contract is friendly on both sides so if Josh wants traded watch out. Some grass is only greener for a little while

Sources: The #Cardinals have received trade calls on Pro Bowl DE Josh Sweat.Sweat had 12 sacks last season in his first year with Arizona and had a close relationship with Jonathan Gannon, whom the Cardinals moved on from.

Well, if Sweat isn't happy in Az and he loves Gannon so much and it appears they have a running back issue......Ok, trade Benson and Sweat for Parsons...I mean we aren't going anywhere next year anyway so let's make them happy ;)

Tbf, I receive calls about selling my rentals but I am not interested in doing so.

yup...we probably need to place a call to Clowney and get Josh a counterpart for the season.

was looking at available FA's yesterday and the list is bleak if you really want help..Clowney and Reddick were the top 2 at any position...I mean, unless you want an OT that retired because his team tried to cut his pay...then decided to come back,...maybe,...and he is 34....
not a lot out there as far as higher end help... but Clowney can still play a role on a team I think....
but we got so many young guys... maybe Burch plays the same role clowney plays..or, lest we forget...the legendary Ojulari

been contemplating getting a couple rentals...
is it worth it if I buy a couple,...then just hand them over to a management company and kinda forget about them?

This thread is mad. Sweat average 8 sacks a season and plays about 60% of snaps. He's a #2 Edge on a playoff team.

He's unhappy for several reasons, not least of which is we fired the reason he came here a year ago. With Josh Sweat this team had the 29th ranked defense but you're talking about him as if he's a crucial piece. Of what?

If you can get anything between pick 50 and 100 for him you take it and don't look back, and you use that next year to either move up and get the QBOTF or his replacement.

You'll be looking back at this in 2 years when Sweat is gone anyway after a couple of mediocre seasons (even a QBOTF isn't going to change things right away) and thinking we should have moved him while we could.

We've living in a single wide trailer with a temperamental BMW parked on the driveway and that won't change until we fix QB. It's far smarter to sell the BMW.

This thread is mad.

Advocating for the perpetual two steps forward three steps back method of teambuilding seems mad to me. You simply dont get get better by constantly jettisoning your hgigher end talent (I get that its relative, team by team) and replace them with hopes and dreams.

At some point you have to build on a solid foundation. You cant keep taking it back to bare earth. There are better ways to move forward.

Magic beans, baby. Magic beans that, even if they work out, won't help this year SMH
