OFFICIAL DRAFT 2nd DAY THREAD!!!

oh yeah... today is the Cardinals super bowl. the most exciting day of our year.
anybody setting up a tailgate?? Barbecue??
Im thinking of making some Birria tacos for the draft myself.

Hoping we come out of round 1 with Jeremiya Love...and either an OT or Ty Simpson...probably Simpson since they wont trade back into the first for a Tackle.

what do y'all have planned??

I really want Love. But Like Stout...I would pick David Bailey if he is on the board I think. im coming around to "screw that positional value bull huckey"... but I aint a hundred percent there.

whatever we do..we need to FIX the damn o line..finish it... Monti needs to just stop with the freaking band aids every season.
we need a starting OT, and a starting OG out of this draft. They are there for the taking.

Because the naysayers aint full on wrong... without fixing the line,...Love,..Simpson,...both will be less effective.
I do think Love is elusive enough that as long as we get him a squared up look at the LOS, he will make something happen... but having a top 10 line will get him a lot more of those looks.

and with Simpsons lack of experience the absolute worst thing that can happen for him is to have his o line fall apart..we gotta give him a full 2 seconds...2,5 even.... this 1.5 that Kyler had,..and the 1.2 Briskett had..will ruin a rookie QB... by week 8 he will be convinced he doesnt have what it takes to play in the league.

I dont care if we pick Love...then follow up with 6 straight O line picks. we need this crap fixed....
Just dont want to waste a top 10 pick on a guy who would never be considered before 15 in most drafts....and thats every single OT in this particular draft. Ioane is a better early pick than any of the OT's

Since the Cards don’t do Super Bowls, this is the best day of the year. We can all pretend the Cards are relevant.

Excited for tonight, the Draft is always one of my favorite days on the calendar even if as Cardinal fans we've been conditioned over the years to expect disappointment. What I'm hoping/expecting to see...

- If the Jets don't take David Bailey at #2, sprint (metaphorically) to the podium and take him at #3 immediately.
- If Bailey goes #2 and you can reasonably trade down to get two first round picks and build the offensive line with at least one of them, that's a good way to go.
- Taking Love at #3 might not be the best idea on paper but as a fan, I'd be excited to watch him play for the Cardinals.
- There has been so much talk about the Cardinals drafting Ty Simpson that I'm convinced at this point that the Cardinals aren't getting Ty Simpson. I think someone will trade up into the back end of the first round to take him, but I don't think it will be Arizona. Feel free to laugh at this comment if/when I'm wrong!

I have had the suspicion some GM will jump in front of us and grab Simpson.
Im okay with it. Im meh on him either way...good prospect but the experience thing is really important...due to that Arizona may not be the best spot for him.
Hated, I know, but the Rams jumping on him would likely be the best thing for his career...2 or 3 years behind Stafford would get him ready to play.

This is the least excited I have been about any draft ever. I cannot remember the last time I spent so little time thinking about who we should take.

I suppose we will take the RT. I don't really care who we take, they had just better be good.

Despite two of my workers quitting, I managed to get some cover for Thurs, Fri night, and Sat morning. So got lucky on that.

My friend is a Raiders fan, and we will either be at his place and get pizza or at one of his restaurants/nightclubs for a private viewing of the draft and free food. Technically, it's more of food from his restaurant being eaten at his nightclub. Food would probably be a double bacon burger with sweet potato fries. Maybe some wings.
