right??
Overall, that could be the best RB room in the NFL by a significant margin...
what determines that are the same questions that would make us draft Love...
Can Trey Benson finally stay healthy and give us a dozen touches per game for at least 15 games a season?? Has John Conner hit the 30 year and is he finally washed?

Those two questions are why we would draft Love...and the answer to whether or not we have a passable RB room or an elite room.

the best part is the flexibility in the room would exponentially help our offense. Every man on the list can run, pass block, receive, and has a decent history of ball security.

If JC and TB answer those questions in our favor that RB room would be an amazing asset for a rookie QB even with questions along the line.
This.

Until proven otherwise you can’t depend on Benson or Conner. Both are massive question marks.

Fwiw, Schefty on ESPN Wednesday a.m. is saying Love is going 3 to the Cardinals if they stick and pick or 4th to the Titans if they (we) trade down.

Couple weeks ago he was saying Love wouldn't go before 7 to the Commies.

For those saying we already have a loaded RB room, please take into account that James Connor has played 5 seasons with the Cardinals and has never played a full season. Same with Trey Benson. Add in that Bam Knight is a guy who on a number of teams would be on the Practice Squad and it’s very easy to justify Love at pick #3

Conner had two 1000 yard seasons in 2023 and 2024, averaged over 4.5 yards per carry in both, 7+ TDs in both, and the Cardinals record was a combined 12-22. IMO, people are overestimating who a good back on a bad team can accomplish in terms of wins and losses.

It’s a good thing. If we draft him
MLF should bring him along slowly as a rookie like Ben Johnson did with Gibbs.

Hard disagree running backs are one of the few positions that don’t need much grooming through history… He’s gonna be almost a top 10 paid running back in the entire league taken at number three he should be thrown into the fire. I’m not saying give him 30 Carrys a game but he should definitely get the bulk.

It’s a 2-back league the days of Walter Payton and Emmitt Smith are over. Bijan and Algier split touches their rookie season and he was a better prospect than Love.

Like I said, he doesn’t need 30 Carrys a game, but he should have the bulk of the carries no question….

If you want us to draft Love, be wildly disappointed.

I am officially in the I'd be happy we drafted Love camp if that's how it goes. Best move I think, total franchise changer. Just don't go up for Simpson please, if he's there, great. Just my two cents.
The only reason you go up for Simpson in the late 1st is to get the 5th year on him, and to jump over the Jets who would be the only reason he wouldn't be there at 34.

I think a lot--if not all--of the "mehs" or "I'll be POd" or "not a premium position" complaints will go completely by the wayside once the kid proves out. IMO he will be a dynamic back for whoever drafts him, and if that's us, opinions will be changed.
I loved Fitzgerald, but Ben Roethlisberger would have been a much better choice.
