The conversation is what is most likely and what is considered meeting expectations. You are taking the Budda Baker comp as a knock for some reason.
So here is the question...how likely do you feel it is that Caleb Downs is drafted at 3, has 8 pro bowl appearances and 4 all pro selections in his first 9 seasons, all as a Cardinal? Do you think that is a likely outcome? Because if not, and is Downs doesn't achieve that, you just invested the #3 pick in the draft for a player less accomplished than Budda Baker.
The lack of appreciation for the career Budda Baker has had on this site is wild. He is a ring of honor player. He has been wildly successful. If he is a disappointment to anyone, they should stay the hell away from drafting Caleb Downs because it is essentially HOF career or bust. HOFs are the only guys better than Baker.
